  1. He's been on the Board, but isn't any longer. Still a huge fan though. Gave me a lift up to Berwick when the train drivers were on strike. Still does OPTA stats, often at Annan.
  2. Antell and Buchanan have been good. No blame for our crap performances attached to them. Anderson got badly injured in August and is unlikely to play again this season. Scobbie was never meant to play much this season - he is on the coaching side now Stevenson missed a few weeks with injury, but he is back now. With himself, Sinclair and Travis in the side we should be a lot more solid, though we hugely miss our best player - Ferguson - who had his cheekbone rearranged at Linlihgow. Buchanan aside, we are particularly crap up front and look increasingly disinterested elsewhere.
  3. He has played left back regularly but only because our only signed left back proved to be shite and was farmed out on loan. Fenton rates no more than 5 out of 10 in my opinion. Some half decent displays but usually fairly anonymous.
  4. If you'd asked a few weeks ago, I'd have said that the Boardroom position is much healthier than a couple of years ago. Financially we coped well during Covid. Fundraising was impressive with new sponsorships, match day hospitality regularly sold out, and supporter engagement on the up. The playing budget this season was pretty good. All seemed well upstairs. Since then though, the Vice-chair has resigned, the Chairman will probably follow him at the end of the season and the new Director who was inspirational during the Covid shutdown has all but vanished. We will be left soon with a very inexperienced Boardroom. I was pleased with a number of this year's signings and there have been a few impressive displays. Unfortunately, there have been increasingly frequent displays of pure horseshit. Personally, I don't think the crumbling Boardroom has yet had anything to do with recent results. These players should not be giving away comedy goals and losing in such a feeble way that you can see in those highlights. They are better than that, and several fireworks need setting off in the dressing room.
  5. And here they are. Some really awful stuff amongst this from players who don't seem to give too much of a toss
  6. Think I've been critical enough now. Not much point having a go at the manager week in week out, so I'll try and keep quiet till something changes. Could be some time, though
  7. Dear me. And they expect fans to keep on turning up Stuart Malcolm makes Liz Truss look competent
  8. I think Antell, Ferguson, Anderson, Nelson, Pyper, Travis, Sinclair, Stevenson, Sabatini, Barr, and Buchanan are good enough to be in a team at the very top of this league. Unfortunately, they keep playing like they have just met each other.
  9. Nearly a week since a terrible result at Dalbeattie, then the Vice Chair resigns sniping at the Supporters Club (main shareholders) in his wake, and several fans call for the managers head. No communications from the club at all since that defeat. Diddy cup match at Spartans tomorrow suddenly becomes a big game. There absolutely has to be a positive reaction after last week. I hope there is - I'll happily swallow some humble pie.
  10. What he said. Some terrible results, including today of course. Brings in Griff Sabatini to fill an obvious hole in midfield, and Cammy Graham to see if he knows where the net is, and leaves them both on the bench today, but plays Baker, Allan and Harris who have proved time and again that most of the time, they can't really be arsed. Malcolm's interviews are passionless (or non-existent) and he couldn't motivate me to suppress a fart in a lift. He has to go. And if he had any pride, after losing to Stoneyburn, Linlithgow and Dalbeattie Star, he'd resign. He's made me feel embarrassed to support Berwick Rangers.
  11. Another 2 points dropped last night at Shielfield. Came back from 0-2 on Saturday to draw 2-2 (albeit ultimately against 9 men and we missed a penalty). Last night, 2 up with less than half an hour to go, but drew 2-2 again. Best team both times and should have won both. Same old same old at Berwick. Decent team, but miss stacks of chances, then get all fragile and anonymous when we need some guts and fight. Been like this since relegation.
  12. SFA Fast Track disciplinary committee:- Greg Skinner is given a retrospective red card and 2 match ban for his - admitted - assault in the first half. Michael Travis's red card and 2 match ban for a non-event in the 2nd half has been rescinded. You have to wonder what motivated the ref to send off Travis for an imaginary stamp. Imaginary, because it didn't happen. Come on, you Spartans.
  13. Both Linlithgow goals might well have been offside, though if he wasn't off for the 2nd, it should have been a penalty if they hadn't scored. David Ferguson was nutted by a defender who had no chance of reaching the ball. Travis did absolutely nothing to warrant a red. Lewis Allan should have had the game won even when we were down to 10, and if Buchanan had been available we'd be in the next round. Without Buchanan, we have no strikers worthy of the name. Ultimately, we lost in a cup to lower league opposition for the 6 millionth time since we got relegated.
  14. It's like signing 3 or 4 players because he'll get 25% extra out of some of his team mates.
  15. Superb signing for us tonight. Michael Travis coming in from Edinburgh on a 2-year deal.
  16. Michael Travis has signed for Berwick tonight. Cracking signing for us.
  17. League season is over, so just a good run in the Scottish Cup to hope for. Oh, hang on......
  18. A performance of breathtaking inadequacy today. Beggars belief how players that we know are talented and get paid decent money for this level, can produce such a display, bereft of technical nous. I was embarrassed to watch this and I paid to get in. Would be nice to know how the Manager explains it away, when he gets paid to pick the team up after last week's shameful defeat at Stoneyburn. Not quite Johnny Harvey level yet, but closing in.....
  19. Depressing read - and not the first such performance this season. Others at the game tell a similar story to this. Feeble, half-hearted individual displays and no spark from the senior players or from the sidelines. We've brought several new players in recently. About time we kicked some of the shirkers out.
  20. Griffin Sabatini has played the last 2 games for Berwick Rangers as a trialist and looked good, but what do you make of him? I think we'd like to sign him.
  21. Good question. Official line is to share the frustration but reflect on a remarkable number of early season injuries, and insist/hope that once a few players are back from the Doctors, things will improve big style. Some fans reflect that, others point at a number of strange management decisions (selections and subs), and some just question the quality of the players. Words such as 'dire' 'garbage' 'pathetic' and 'spineless' have been used, whilst others point out that the league is stronger and we should all remember (quite right, too) that the club was heading for oblivion till the current board took over. There's been dummy spitting (including from me) and patronising superiority in equal measure on the fans page. It is already a bizarre season. A hammering, a fabulous victory over Celtic and a stomach wrenching capitulation on Saturday. Where we go from here? No idea mate, but in my opinion the squad is a lot stronger than last year's.
