He then tried the cute near post curling finish rather than across goal. I was more pissed at Vale, could have just rolled it to Bair to fire home but was caught in between and slapped it wide.

Re Tierney. I’m with a few on here. I don’t think he’s the answer but I think he’s an option. I think Nicolson is a better player but I think he offers more in attacking sense and final 3rd than Paton for sure. I think he’s a better option also than Obika for a goal and assist but he doesn’t appear to be over Vale. He also offers a bit of bite and fight which we do miss. However I wouldn’t be pinning our hopes of saving relegation on him. It’s weird as I think he didn’t suit last years formation but would this years same as McKinstry.

Between that and continually referring to Theo Bair as Theo Blair for the full game. I can excuse slightly Sky Sports news from doing it but not a Scottish commentator. Just lazy and ignorant. Miovski against Butcher & Mugabi is giving me the fear. However it’s fine we have Kelly behind offering a solid protection…. Cant see anything other than an Aberdeen win. Vale and Devine should start for me. For Paton and SODs. Potentially Halliday on aswell but would have to be at the expense of Miller which I’m not keen on. FFS Oxborough is only being talked about as guess what, he’s the only other goalie we have. I would be saying the same about the lad Connelly, bloody Chapman if he was our number 2, Dan Twardzik or Craig Samson if he was at our club. Are we meant to just accept Kelly and his multiple faults all as a result if not having a clue about our 2nd choice. Get a fucking grip.

That’s the problem we haven’t seen enough as we haven’t had a chance. However my position on this is clear, what has Kelly done this season that Ox potentially could not have done. What does Kelly provide that another keeper couldn’t. I genuinely can’t find an answer to this. One game to Celtic, maybe St Mirren aside, he hasn’t put in any wonder saves, hasn’t saved us points, hasn’t won us games, doesn’t have great delivery that speeds up play, isn’t great with crosses. In fact to me it’s the exact polar opposite, has cost us games, cost us cup ties, gives a nervousness to the crowd. Oxborough doesn’t exactly have a high bar to replace. He could come in and be shit, throw the ball in the net, drop a cross, make us nervous. But so, that’s what we have. He could come in and be outstanding, great at cross balls, better with the ball at his feet, make some great saves. We don’t know until he gets a shot. However, he’s a good character in the dressing room eh, has good integrity and knows when he’s shit eh.

Yip without a doubt. You have seen it down south with keepers recently, they get away with murder. Ours is just murder. He honestly is soo weak. Gets tossed about like a rag doll. Then runs about moaning. He should have left in the summer. Has completely sullied any good will left from his early form imo. He will be thought about like Smith. However I think he will stick to this 3-4-3, 5-2-2-1, 5-4-1 whatever it is shit. If so then Nicolson or Vale needs to come in for Paton. Devine for SODS and Casey for Butcher.

Absolutely .. there is only one person inside that 6 yard box who can use his hands, allegedly jump higher than the rest, is a protected species and able to go for any ball. The keeper. Our cowardly little lion stands on his line and has the physical presence of a gnat at cross balls. I get that but I’ve seen him maybe 3 times and each he comes off his line. He is bigger and stronger by a country mile than Kelly. Not saying he is great but he isn’t a vampire at corners. Absolutely scunnered this morning. I think a lot of us got sucked in by Tuesdays result and not factoring in how absolutely red rotten Ross County were. Made us look better than we are. As soon as we came up against an organised, physical team, who were right up for it, we again were clueless and this formation just did not work. Shat the bed big time. So many players out of form but still with the useless arse in goals. I’ve been banging this drum for months but he is honking. Craig Samson, Smith levels of shit. When was the last time he actually made a save. 5 out of the last 6 games we have conceded the first shot/cross on goal. Genuinely he has nothing else to do but pick the ball out the net. I don’t think we concede that first goal with Ox in the sticks as he is at least stronger and decent at a cross. Another small point that has irked me is how well Vale has done. Against Killie we were crying out for someone pacy and direct last 15 to get at their defence and SK left him on the bench and made no changes. Tiring out the squad. Then gives him a small cameo against County. What I’m getting at is why the f**k was he not given a chance against Killie when clearly the boy has something decent about him. John fucking Obika. What is the point in that guy. He is utterly brutal. Can’t win a header so we bring him on and shell the ball to his head. Again clueless.

Well done Morton. Far better side and deserved the win. Our shitbags players again didn’t look interested. Too many experienced players letting us down, Kelly, SoDs, Butcher, Spittal and Paton all shite tonight. Another missed opportunity. However not fucking surprised.

I really like the look of Nicholson. Looks a very very tidy footballer. Also would love to see him getting more game time. Vale looked to me initially that he was trying too hard when he first came on and looked really excitable. However took his goal well and looked to have real pace to burn. Could be a very effective weapon second half off the season from the bench.

Also to do with the playing budget not the only one being slashed by the head bean counter who is there on an interim basis…. Don’t believe we use those big heat lamps etc anymore. Which would explain the bare patches and general shit look along with the shit weather.
