  1. McBookie has closed the market on it. SkyBet have Dutch Steve at 1/10
  2. What a game that was. Watched it with some English mates in a pub near Reading. They couldn't believe they lost. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for a week!
  3. Winning the league with Twente was fairly astonishing. I mean the Eredivisie isn't quite as fcuked up as the SPFL, but it's the only time they've won the league and no team since outside the big3 (Ajax/PSC/Feyernoord) have won it since. For context, they finished 14th last(this?) season. On the other had, he's lasted only 31, 29 and 46 games at his last 3 clubs. But if we're not going to go for Levein Dutch Steve will do. Edited to add: Now McClaren's name has been floated, if we appoint Malky the Cretin, I'll have a meltdown!
  4. According to Spiers? The same guy who felt sorry for the paedo from Hearts? Some character reference that! Malky is a cretin. It saddens me that fellow supporters would want anyone like him anywhere near the club, let alone be the face of it.
  5. If United are after McLaren, then you can't scoff at the ambition, but if Malky is being asked to take a huge paycut, then Dutch Steve would have to be feeling rather charitable.
  6. Do what Malky would do and just hire the one with the biggest tits.
  7. Both the games he excelled in, he was used as a deep-lying playmaker. Today Kante was there so Gilmour was playing as an 8 which you can see isn’t his game. Gilmour-McTominay-McGinn is Scotland’s future.
  8. Genuinely. Also getting a bit sick of this “Well, he’s not Hitler” shtick! God forbid that we should hope that our manager, especially at a time like this is someone to look up to. And for the muppets who say ‘everyone deserves a second chance’, we’ll he’s getting paid £250k a year by the SFA. Am I meant to feel sympathy for the fcuking cretin?
  9. Yup. There's a limit to the ethos 'well I did not want him, but I will support him now'. This is it.
  10. If yer gonna claim a scoop, at least have the balls to stand by it.
  11. Steve McLaren? Now there's a guy who knows his fitba...
  12. There's folk out there who think Levein is 'past it' but believe John Robertson would be a 'good choice'. Robertson got Inverness promoted around twenty years ago. Since when he's been sacked or let go from Hearts, Ross County, Livingston, Derry CIty, East Fife, and now he's in charge of a distinctly meh Inverness again.
  13. Wouldn't go near Tannadice if that cretin was in the dugout.
  14. Not always the best. See Roy Keane and John Collins.
  15. To be honest, I’ll give Ogren the benefit of the doubt for now. If he’s got money to waste (like Eddie did) on United that’s his call. As long as he’s not taking the piss with fantasy ideas like funding a new stadium, I’m cool.
  16. Shops going for millions each? That doesn’t sound right.
  17. Similar to the schools - people have planned for smaller sizes and "blended learning" but it looks like they'll be back full time anyway. Now looks like crowds could be back in time for the new season but Championship clubs have already signed up for a shortened season and have already been selling season tickets. I know they have to plan for the worst but they should have also been planning for a restart at or near the original time, perhaps with reduced capacities IMO. We are going to look daft when everything is pretty much back to some sort of normal in schools, offices, shopping centres and cinemas but there is no football at all below Premiership level. Schools are going back (fcuk the social distancing) because they have to go back - kids need educated and their parents need to work. You don't have to go to the fitba. The virus will almost certainly rebound back in the autumn/winter - do you reckon they're gonna want thousands of guys packed in together singing and shouting?
  18. Talking of Man City, I think their owners have something like 10 different clubs in different countries. I’m surprised they haven’t bought an SPFL club and ploughed some money in to beat the Old Firm to the league just for a laugh.
  19. I was under the impression the Ogrens wealth was only on the scale of circa £10m or so.
  20. How so? As far as I can see he hasn't uttered a single word about the job.
  21. Pretty sure that's not what he's referring to. He's basically talking about how the club plan for every eventuality. Asghar seems to have the majority of fans on board, but I dunno - I detect major David Brent vibes fae him.
  22. Which legal expert has said this? And I hope they've expanded on it a little. ie Why? If its Leslie Deans, it don't count!
  23. St Johnstone legend Tommy Wright would be interested in becoming Dundee United’s new manager but only if structure is right https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/dundee-united/1391777/tommy-wright-st-johnstone-dundee-united-job-odds/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Only joking! It's a real headline obviously, just more of The Courier's made-up guff.
