Hopefully Welch-Hayes going out on loan means that Donnellan isn't too far from returning. That said, since he wasn't making squads anyway Martindale might feel that Brandon and Nottingham are enough cover at right-back.

Martindale has done a good job in getting the squad size down to 23 and supplementing the ridiculous 9 man bench with youngsters. Hamilton, Pittman, Montano, Bradley and Penrice being out has allowed Ledingham, Sharp, Culbert and Lawal all to make the squad recently. Good experience for them even if they aren't ready to start games yet.

Welch-Hayes to Dunfermline is a bit of an odd one. He's 28 this year so he's hardly likely to improve; effectively he's either good enough to act as backup or he isn't. With the amount of niggling injuries for our defence occasionally leading to midfielders (or Nouble) being used; is it something we can really afford.

He probably just isn't good enough

Only game i can remember him having a decent enough time on the pitch was Tynecastle away, and he looked solid enough. We practically camped in our own box that game though, which makes it a bit easier for defenders having other players as back up.

Signing a 27 year old and then referring to him as a project signing for the future pretty much sums up our Summer transfer window

Agree with this.

When it was worded like that I assumed he was younger. At the same time as his signing was announced Martindale stated he was still looking for a first choice RB so the signing was even more baffling given we already had Brandon. Would presume Martindale was taking what he could get at that point.

Our signings have declined in quality over the years undoubtedly the budget has played it's part but Martindale has to take some ownership.

Signing Devlin and Nottingham whilst still having Parkes on the books is something I just can't get over especially since it lead to Boyes and De Lucas getting punted when they were of similar quality and much younger so more potential to develop.

We lost out on 1st choice targets to QP and Killie pre season, couldn't sell the ones that had value, and couldn't even punt players we wanted rid of, so yeah, not been the greatest season for doing transfer business.

Agree with Martindale saying it would be his greatest achievement at Livi if he kept us up this season. Kind of amazing the run we were on and one win has us just 3pts off County. Thank feck we're not the only team having a shit season.

I see Marc McNulty has signed for Spartans as a free agent, might've been worth getting him in for our run in, at the worst he'd have been an energetic sub to bring on, only 31 and was playing in the US, so should still be pretty fit.

Will be interesting to see how he gets on at Spartans, might even be worth a punt for next season, if we're going to lose Anderson to Killie.

I think if the Anderson deal was going to happen it would likely be announced by now.

With Watkins and Vassell likely still here next season + maybe Greg Stewart and with Bobby Wales (possibly) being ready to be in the squad next year we might not need Anderson now.

All over now.

Chance to visit one or two grounds I've not been to next season 😞

A trifle defeatist? There still a fair way to go.

Down points about yesterday; were certainly the three points but more worrying was perhaps the effect it will have on County morale. previously they were dead and buried; now hey have fight.

We still have to play St Johnstone twice and County once at home; there's a lot still to play for unless of course you want the boys to give up now?

our bl00dy habit of giving other teams a two goal head start is a bugger; the first one was wholly avoidable. Also Martindale saying premier survival would be his greatest achievement is hardly something that would encourage and motivate the team.

We started poorly possibly partially due to the team travelling up on the day rather the night before (possibly another costs thing); the second half was encouraging but for me the biggest positive was Bruce Anderson getting his mojo back. If he can kick on then we've got more than a chance.

Defensively is still a huge concern particularly on the left side

As much as the gap isn’t insurmountable, yesterday showed that this team isn’t capable of putting a run of results together.

We’ve improved since December with Yengi and Carson joining, Brandon starting and a sensible formation being picked, but it’s clearly not going to cancel out the abysmal October - December period

We don't seem to get away with mistakes or poor defending, both Brophy's goals were rockets, and so was their winner. The 3rd should've been avoided by a cynical foul, we had 2 chances to take a player down before it got to their goal scorer, they'd have done it to us, as would most/every team.

The giving away cheap goals and a goal or 2 of a start isn't helping, but at least we're scoring goals ourselves now, it isn't as if teams are ripping us apart, we're doing it to ourselves for a lot of it, then having to chase the game, which makes it even easier to get at our goal, with us leaving ourselves more open at the back. I think the small margins in games still make it possible to close the gap again, but if it goes all the way to the last game, and then a play off (if we're lucky), it's going to be a nerve jangling end to the season, putting us through the wringer.

I'm not giving up till it's mathematically impossible for us to stay up, hopefully the players feel the same. way.

Nail on head for me. In order to have the slimmest of chances of staying up, we need to win three more games than Ross County. Not just 3 games out of 11 remaining - but 3 games MORE than Ross County. Unless of course weren’t expecting Ross County to pick up no more points between now and the end of the season.

I see the SFA are now involved in the Livi saga.

See Davie portraying himself as the saviour 😀

More court cases to come stay tuned.

What that essentially piece boils down to is the SFA wanting to know who categorically owns the club before they can then assess whether they are fit and proper.
