Angela Haggerty is the worst. Of course there is outing Mhairi Black's partner, bullying behaviour as editor of CommonSpace, defending homophobic remarks by pretending to be bisexual, claiming to be the victim of anti Catholic and anti Irish discrimination growing up on fucking Bute, complaining a racist comment she was called out on was like Ron Jonsons public shaming book and tagging RJ before he completely eviscerated her and she slunk off claiming he had instigated a pile on, threatening trans folk with withdrawing her support for transport rights when they called out her transphobic remarks, platforming Stuart Waiton and various other "liberal free speechers" in Common Space because she was too thick to understand the consequences of what they were saying.

But, She sunk the Sunday Herald after 5 minutes in charge though so swings and roundabouts.

I sometimes watch Haggerty’s antics on Twitter and I genuinely believe she is deranged. The attention seeking and utter narcissism is off the scale. 
 

It’s amazing the amount of unusual things that seemingly happen to her. Yesterday it was a deliveroo driver supposedly taking pics of her baby when delivering something.

This reminds me of the perennial Scottish Twitter ‘did ye aye’ character, Vonny Moyes. She built herself a career from essentially lying on social media for many years but has since been exposed and appears to have gone dark,

I don’t follow Haggerty, it all seems a lot of work.

Was that person also known as Vonny Leclerc? Was very Haggerty esque and then vanished.

That's the one. Ictchris introduced us all to this forum last year which has a couple of quite funny threads about her, including one where her own sister calls her a big bullshitter. That place makes P&B look sane though so be warned

I shouldn't mock. She is genuinely unwell. A habitual liar and attention seeker. 

Indyref seemed to unleash quite a few who then had a really hard time when irrelevance hit home.

She was another, could not handle any sort of criticism or rebuttalsWould lock her Twitter profile at the slightest hint of it.

I think I remember her trying to defend a pal who claimed independence supports are racists, then it was discovered she worked or volunteered  for the Better Campaign

Did she not claim to be the victim of revenge porn but it later turned out that she'd put the pictures up herself on Reddit and someone found them and stuck them on Twitter?

She seems to have completely stepped away from social media which is probably a very good thing.

As some people said on that thread, she has a lovely family, a good job, a new marriage. She clearly has a lot of things going for her, strange for her to be involved in all the social media fakery. Hopefully she’s happier now.

In the last few months there’s been a severe falling out among some members of my family, not close family members, and social media has played a big, big part in it. I’m going very boomer-meme on FB, ironically, but in a lot of cases it’s a curse.

I’ve experienced chef that as well. Some people just don’t k ow how to behave with social media and it causes problems.
