Heard that the third Fulton brother has made the step up into the first team squad.

He's recently turned 16.

Heard it at the Gala awards that 5 players were being promoted from the academy but the proof I can find is some guy saying it on OFIF so I'm not sure anymore

My link

Ah. I thought he was younger, but I'll take your word for it. Do you by any chance know what position he plays?

We promoted Josh Horne (Defender) as well and I think Mcdougall will be used on the wing because the OS described him as a pacy winger.

Edit: On his profile on the squad page it lists him as a striker, so maybe Dargo isn't coming back and Mcdougall will start upfront.

Graham and Lithgow have the potential to be a pretty solid central defence. Not obvious where the goals are coming from!

If we could add another central defender, another central midfielder and another forward I'd be perfectly happy with the squad, though I concede that that may be asking a bit much. We've got a decent group together already, I just feel that we're slightly short on experienced players for competition / cover in centre back and centre mid particularly.

I would say we are pretty well covered at centre back.

I reckon we need atleast one right back (Should be the priority), another striker and two centre mids although we may get away with one.

2 of those in the squad can play right back and centre back (Graham and Lyden).

But we still need a first choice right back and MAYBE another player to offer competion, Morton fans have said Graham is awful at right back.

We have 6 players who can and have played at centre back, so I wouldn't think we would need more, you obviously think differently?

I definitely think differently, yes. Of those in the squad who can / have played centre back (I count five, not six), I'd only really consider Graham, McNiff and Lithgow to be in with a shout of starting there. Nicoll is needed more in midfield and Lyden is inexperienced. Lyden is more likely to be playing reserve football / second choice first team right back. Forsyth is a left back / centre mid and Creaney is a left back who can play on the wing if need be. Hence, if we could sign another centre half, particularly one who can play at right full back also, then I'd be more comfortable with the defensive options available to us. Wallace is, of course, still to sign and has played at centre back and right back in the past, but I don't think he's a realistic option in defence at this level, though I'd still be more than happy for him to re-sign and be an option for centre mid and right mid.

I think centre half is pretty well covered. I can see us starting Graham and Lithgow and having McNiff as back up. I'd agree that we need a right back, if Lyden had played more first team football last year then we could possibly look at him but I think it'd be a bit unfair to throw him in now. We are very light in centre midfield with only really Nicoll and Agnew there (McNiff again could cover midfield but I'd rather have another dedicated centre mid in there). Also agree that we need another striker, with pre-season starting this week I'd imagine Dargo's deal may no longer be there.
