Dee Man
Only caught 2 tunes off the Triple J hip hop show last night - one was The Bridge Is Over which is mental as I haven't heard it in years and have now heard it twice in a week on two different radio stations, the other was this absolute belter from the Ultramagnetic MCs.

Dosser-fae-the-shire
Been listening to the Beastie Boys a lot recently. Paul'sBoutique is an amazing album.

Pabst
New Ka album, 'Honor Killed The Samurai' , is brilliant. Possible AOTY. This one, from his previous LP 'The Night's Gambit', will give you an idea of what he's about....
Boostin' Kev
I'm a big fan of all Kas solo work will check that new album out tomorrow.
Nizzy
Enjoyed that. Anyone else out there producing records in a similar style?
Boostin' Kev
Try Roc Marciano Nizzy. Does a lot of work with Ka, he's one of the best around just now as well imo.

Marcberg was his first solo LP and is one of his best so probably good to start there and work your way through his albums.
Pabst
I'd go with Reloaded as my favourite Roc Marciano LP, but Marcberg is definitely a must-listen. There's also guys like WestSide Gunn and Conway The Machine (two brothers from Buffalo, NY) and Hus Kingpin (also NY but lives out in LA now). All of 'em specialise in that sort of dark, understated grimy NY rap. Roc Marciano and Ka are the ones to start with though. Hus Kingpin's new song: Edited August 17, 2016 by Pabst

Hus Kingpin's new song: Westside Gunn (along with Conway) is my favourite emcee for releases over the past couple of years, everything he has made has been excellent. What album/mixtape is that Hus Kingpin track from? Edited August 17, 2016 by Pete Rockwell
