Martin Canning in caretaker charge for now. Meantime Ian McCall has returned to management at Ayr United. Gary Teale remains in caretaker charge at St Mirren and, as far as I'm aware, Mark Burchill is the same at Livingston. Or has Burchill been given the job on a more permanent basis at some point? Update 29/01/15 - Gary Teale has been given the St Mirren job to the end of the season so moved him to a proper appointment. Martin Canning was confirmed last week but I hadn't updated it. Anyone know anything definitive on Livingston? Are they actually still looking for someone else or is Burchill now in place on a more permanent basis? I've given up waiting for any further clarity of the position at Livingston and moved Mark Burchill into a permanent appointment there from 16th December when he took over from McGlynn. It seems clear there will be no change until the future of the club itself is sorted out. It would appear they've invited him to reapply for his own job along with others. I assume however that he remains in caretaker charge until told otherwise and that being the case I've left him in situ. Murray had been Scotland's 5th longest serving current manager with exactly 2.5 years in charge at Dumbarton. There are now only 8 managers who have held their position more than 2 years.
