mylothedog Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 I liked Leggo's thoughts for next Scotland manager. Sir Walter, Alex McCleish and Jimmy Calderwood. Two of them walked out on there countries are were total failures outside of the SPL, the other got sacked from Aberdeen lol. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

For local reporters, the threats may be far more plausible. And even for a national reporter, writing a post like today’s takes courage. Little of what he reveals will surprise anyone in Glasgow, Thomson points out – yet from the outside this is an attack on freedom of speech so drastic that you would hardly believe it could exist in modern-day Britain. smpar Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 They will come out of it debt free and this will all be forgotten. In a dream world, they'll have to resort to signing talentless journeymen and get relegated down the divisions. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

SS-18 ICBM Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) http://leggoland2.blogspot.co.uk/ David Investigates Jesus, the Stein article... a dreadful winless run akin to Levein's, apart from when he won a couple of games, and failure to qualify for the Euros, which showed him up when Roxburgh and Brown managed it, erm, when the Number of qualifying teams was doubled... Stein managing at a Scottish football club, the first football team in Britain to ever win the European Cup and 9 domestic League Championships in a row, appears to have cut deeply into the hearts and minds of some people, I wonder why, not! 35 years later and those people are still in great pain due to those historical footballing events. The new club of those hurting people that has replaced their old cheating club, the club liquidated due to tax dodging and renegading on debts totaling around £140million, their new club playing in Scotland's fourth tier league (Division Three) while Stein's old club are playing in the European Champions League. It's now 2012, Rangers are in hell and eternally damned. It must be extremely painful for the oldies among them. Monkey Tennis Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) Mostly our friends from Aiberdeen and Dundee but yes, plenty did state pre season that seaon tickets were being sold in record numbers and stadiums would be filled to the brim ....etc Well I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm sure you could dig up some evidence of fans saying those very things if you wanted. I clearly missed it though. I didn't pay much attention to the sell-out Saturday stuff and that's presumably where you're suggesting it appeared. Such a view was daft though and clearly wasn't representative of the majority perspective. As I said before, the SPL clubs bowed to fan pressure, not in order to boost gates, but in order to prevent them from falling through the floor. The fans, if not the clubs, recognised that some things can fail to appear on balance sheets, yet still be valuable. Your central point is of course correct, but Roxburgh got us to Euro 92 when there were still only 8 sides in the finals. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Captain_Sensible Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 My point is that we will not miss the revenue financially as we have no debts worth mentioning and are on a sound financial footing. Your debts and "sound financial footing" are not connected to the money you are misisng out on from Rangers not being in the SPL. The fact is that Rangers not being in the SPK is costing Celtic a fortune. Its hurting no-one else but Celtic! All that effort to steer your post towards bigotry .. .. still banging that drum I see ... obsessive much ... er, well obviously. Bigotry is what Celtic's success is based on! You think your team will manage to get the goals against down a wee bit next time we meet and give us a game like the Highland teams and St Johnstone amongst others ? Yes, I'm well aware that you need to support a winning football team to brighten up your life..... Personally, I haven't watched a single minute of SPL football this season so it really doesn't matter to me. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Monkey Tennis Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Yes .. I think the main point is that Big Jock's success at club level still rankles deep down and is often discussed over a pint at their favourite watering hole BAR67 ... I get the main point. Subtle, nuanced or veiled comments aren't really Leggo's thing. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
FinnesTON Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 He has quoted that they are shares in the club and the money will still be in Rangers ? he claims the money is for investing in the club. The club is the company despite what Rangers fans argue and the SPL & SFA say either and fook the papers they'll run anything if it will shift tabloids and TV to get people to watch. In the SPL & SFA rule book they clearly state that Rangers ceased to be a club on the 14th June this year when the CVA failed and the CLUB then headed into liquidation.This club and company shite has gone on for way too long and is some made up crap by the SPL & SFA to keep the old firm alive in some form and Green jumped on it. MSM still can't decide at times FFS ! BBC says old club & liquidation today in their sports section ?. The fans will buy shares into the whole club or parts of it depending on what the prospectus says ! Green is a sneaky fecker with many a troubled AIM share issue behind him so reading the fine print and analysing the minute detail is important.One thing is for sure that Green's mob will still retain at least 52% of the club in total to pull the shots or fob off the investors like he has in the past. Just ignore this Sevconians, buy away at those shares this is all reverse psychology by exposing all the pit falls of the share buy up all us diddies know you'll do the opposite. Buy away nothing to see here Chucky is the messiah (if thats allowed ?) well he's a good egg. He will lead you triumphantly back to the top of the SPL( if they change ), then it will be the latter stages of the CL and eventually UEFA will be clamouring to organise a European league guaranteeing mega millions from media payments and the expansion of Asian markets. Bring back the orange tops the party tunes hell lets return to the marauding days of manchester, its all good 54 and counting.( How will your club register that next league win , will that be 55 or will it be a 54 1/4 ? ) 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~ Posted October 22, 2012 Share Posted October 22, 2012 Vanguard bears statement They just can't help having a pop at Celtic It’s not often that Vanguard Bears is in agreement with Celtic supporters – particularly their lunatic fringe - but on this occasion we fully endorse the opinion of their shareholders who, prior to their Annual General Meeting next month, want all joint commercial ties severed with Rangers. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spl/celtic-shareholders-urge-club-to-drop-joint-commercial-deals-with-rangers-1-2592372 They will have their own motives - most probably deep-rooted hatred of the very existence of our club. We at VB have our own:- We do not want to be associated in any way with Celtic FC and its unambiguous and undeniable links to Irish Republican terrorism and the unforgiveable covering-up of heinous child abuse. No right thinking person or persons could ever condone such acts as carried out at Celtic FC by its employees and their support, and it is to everyone's astonishment that whilst the actions of Celtic FC's support is ignored by the mainstream Press and Media in Scotland along with compliant MP's, we here at VB have morals that we hold dear, therefore we find the link to Celtic FC and its support rather distasteful and unhealthy for a club of Rangers standing, and once again fully endorse the move by their shareholders to sever ties with us. We would rather remain a safe and comfortable distance from those tarred with the Sectarian brush and linked to child abuse - Division 3 isn't far enough away. 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
