How was anyone meant to know? Basically the SFA has said that if someone has failed to register a player properly that that player is in fact registered until its revoked.

I wonder why the SPL didn't know after hiring those oh-so-expensive fancy dan lawyers to advise them and before they chose to bring a case against Rangers.

It can be so difficult to understand lawyers at times.

The SPL decided to proceed after taking the advice, deciding there was a prima-facie' case to hear.

Curiously, and during the hearings proper, one of the lawyers who had helped gather the information together for the SPL had to accept: "that no provision of the Rules enabled the Board of the SPL retrospectively to terminate the registration of the player."

How strange. All that money wasted. All those hopes dashed. All those titles not changing hands.

He used them to gain an advantage.

He did not disclose the side letters detailing these EBT`s but he did declare the payments, he did this to hide his tax affairs, he knew EBT`s were probably legal tax avoidance, but was not 100% sure

He was correct, EBT`s were tax avoidance, even if he had declared the side letters this would have changed nothing, the players would still have been properly registered, the tax avoidance scheme would still have been totally legal.

Murray was an arrogant dodgy cnut who took too many risks, but in the end the risks he took were legal ones and did not give Rangers any unfair advantage on the pitch.

Accept it or not, this is the final position, the SPL have accepted Nimmo`s learned opinion and will not appeal, I have no doubt the plastics will not accept it and will clamour to Celtic to do something, they will continue to howl at the moon and we will continue to laugh at them.

It is not just the Jungle Jims who think that you were found guilty of cheating but due to a totally ineffectual and suspiciously partial set of governing bodies you got away with it. This whole sorry saga has been so damaging to Scottish football and the inability to punish a club caught red handed doing the dirty has made a mockery of our game and piled shame upon shame. Anyone looking from the outside into this would correctly assume that we are a backwater footballing nation with finances like Greece and governance more questionable than Italian politics. I hope you are fucking proud of yourselves.

It shows you the mentality of certain people on here. They think it's funny to have a go at the Catholic religion because they use prayer beads. If that is the case then they are also offending a few other religions as well:
