Much thanks. But it's silica (like sand). B+

No problem, since we are scoring each others work yours gets an F- due to the fact you totally misunderstood the "Myth of the flat Earth" which teaches that in middle ages educated people believed that the earth was flat and Columbus had to overcome this belief to get his project to sail Westwards to India to be sanctioned. During that time science had accepted the Earth was spherical, however as shown there was a belief in ancient times that the earth was flat. 2200 years out in your attempt at smugness is a very poor show.

Pesky silicon dioxide.

Just to add normal ice is dry.

The wetness on the outside is melted ice, ie water....

I'd like to add that I never disputed that point.

Ice is water in it's solid form, liquids are wet solids are dry. Pretty obvious really but dry ice is carbon dioxide in it's solid form.

Celtic could buy Rangers at their current valuation. Or 5 Rangers at their starting price. That must smart.

Wasn't being smug, at a guess you are projecting there mate. I just found your pedantry a bit weird, unless of course you really think the reason bennett gets pelters is because he claims he's gay?

Btw, china believed in a flat earth until fairly recently, 17th centuary I believe. So while the "Flat Earth Myth" is not true in the West it ironically is in the very place Columbus was trying to get to.

Apparently the myth that people in the middle ages believed the earth to be flat dates from the 17th century as part of the campaign by Protestants against Catholic teachings.

Bennett gets pelters because he is Bennett, I am pedantic because that is what P&B is, a place for pedants to try to out pedant each other.

And there we have pretty much everything that's wrong with modern football. It's doing huge damage to competitiveness, even in places like England. In countries the size of Scotland, it's catastrophic.

Seriously? Have they ever compared bibles? Pretty sure both of them state the earth is flat with a bowl shaped sky.

James Hannam wrote:
The myth that people in the Middle Ages thought the earth is flat appears to date from the 17th century as part of the campaign by Protestants against Catholic teaching. But it gained currency in the 19th century, thanks to inaccurate histories such as John William Draper's History of the Conflict Between Religion and Science (1874) and Andrew Dickson White's History of the Warfare of Science with Theology in Christendom (1896). Atheists and agnostics championed the conflict thesis for their own purposes, but historical research gradually demonstrated that Draper and White had propagated more fantasy than fact in their efforts to prove that science and religion are locked in eternal conflict

At the risk of being pedantic I am sure pedant cannot be utilized as a verb.

Best organic sausages Johnny, none of the Asda smart price rubbish that you usually buy.

A good sausage is very underrated.
