Lest we forget ...

SPL2.jpg

Obtained from a source within Sevco, (Tedi ??) above is the correspondence sent by Duff and Phelps to Iain Blair on July 27th 2012 to confirm the status that it would be Sevco that were playing Brechin City in the first ever game of the Newco.

Look at the paragraph after the list of players names (actually some had gone by then)

Note the specific request to the SPL board re D1.16.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/143090374/Spl-Handbook-2008-09-10-Feb-09-Current

The relevant extract from above is:

"D1.16 A Registered Player must not, except with the prior consent of the Board and the Club to which he is Registered, play Football for any other Football club in any competition or except with the prior consent of the Club to which he is Registered, train with such other Football Club."

Neil Doncaster and the SPL board approved this request the same day.

A clear line was drawn that Sevco is indeed another club, clearly different from Rangers Oldco.

In relation to the above ....

  • Rangers held membership of the SPL until the 3rd of August
  • Sevco’s club played in the Ramsden cup on the 29th of July
  • Clubs holding membership to the SPL can’t play in the Ramsden cup

This coupled with the need to transfer players under the above rule ,,,,

That's why they needed the cover up and secret 5 way agreement to peddle the fairytale to the Orcs ....

They just had not reckoned on the internet bampots and whistle blowers .. Technology is a barsteward.

So Rangers' membership of the SFA has been running less than 2 years and all their player registrations had to be transferred?

On current evidence my views that continuation happened are shattered- new club.

but as we all see now scottish football is now recovering from that trauma and the reconstruction pushed through between the premiership and the championship will give rangers a much improved opportunity to return to the top flight than with the previous set up, thanks to the clubs that voted the change.

totally buckled but it was for the best.

Do you really see the amalgamation of the league governing bodies and the introduction of play-offs purely through the prism of Rangers?

These are long standing changes that will benefit clubs over the long term. Yours might stand to benefit once if it masters this survival lark.

I thought only Bendarroch sought to claim that Rangers had been the big winners from this whole saga.

Without re-quoting that huge Rangers Media thread about this article... http://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/spfl-lower-divisions/glenn-gibbons-rangers-fans-playing-dangerous-game-1-3381635?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed

I'll just add that it's extremely heartening to see that not only have the Berrz learned nothing about massive overspending, but that they actually appear to be congenitally incapable of learning anything.

Whatever may have motivated a Scotsman hack to write a column warning Rangers fans about the perils of wasting vast sums of money, it probably wasn't "hatred of Rangers". And yet, rather than pause and ask whether the man has a point, given that he stands to gain little from it and given the overwhelming evidence that suggests that he's 100% correct, the lot of them jam their fingers in their ears and start baa-ing and bleating.

Very pleasing, and it indicates that this comedy bandwagon is going to roll on for at least another decade, until their numbnuts supporters realise that you don't get to win just because you think you deserve to.

mentioned last night, another loan from the spivs coming?

they will just tighten their grip on the club with more shares and become even more of an obstacle to any potential investment.

And they deliberately allow these 'rumours' to escape. Now it won't come as a surprise to the faithful when it emerges that the April wages are secured against Ibrox.

from the people who run the sfa and who ran the spl view point it would have been if rangers had disappeared 'on their watch'.

they would have failed scottish football and their careers, complete and utter failure.

You aren't seriously blaming the association's for the demise of your former incarnation of your club are you ?, Rangers did disappear on their watch they just came up with a cunning plan to con us all that the club was miraculously somehow saved unlike the other clubs before them.

Also it was Rangers themselves who killed themselves by cheating and deliberately hiding the evidence at all costs, overspending and corruptness caused the demise of Rangers in their pursuit of dominating their opposition.

Wouldn't it be funny if thousands of fans bought into King's idea of withholding the ST from the club/company only to find out that King will abuse their trust so that he can use the cash he has in a trust leverage.

Supposing things are OK for the time being then King decides to hold back ST money from the bigger fixtures in the Championship like the upcoming Hearts fixtures that the Rangers fans will want to attend. This being said then the fans are fucked to attend the game even though they have the cash but King is using the money as a weapon against the spivs.

Do the Rangers fans know that if they put their money in the trust then it is ripe for abuse for King's motivations only ? and feck all to do with what the fans want if he has something to batter the BoD at the club with.

The fans' group have said the cash would not be ''drip-fed game by game'' but paid out as lump sum, as soon as board agree to the terms ie security of assets. It's going to be a complete mess anyway and that's the main thing :thumsup2

For all the bears celebrating the hollowest of hollow victories today:

Rub a dub dub, 3 crooks in a tub,

Fleeing their sinking ship.

Cuffing butchers, bakers and candlestick makers -

On wages that should have been zip!

Does anyone still actually care about their football results? I take it they won then? whoever they were playing. Let me guess, they got at least one penalty at a crucial stage of the match

Looking at xscores, it wasn't even at a crucial point, but old habits die hard and they did indeed get a penalty (with accompanying red card for the opponents). Might well have been legit, but it would be interesting to see how often this has happened in the Tribute Act's short history...
