Skyline Drifter
Just noticed when browsing the boards that there were 6 people on here, three members, two guests and one anonymous user. What exactly is an anonymous user? Is that an administrator who can log in without anyone knowing it's him? Or what?
Guest Ruggy Bairn
SD. Anyone can log in annonymously. If you don't want your name to appear on the browse list you can select 'Don't show my name on active users list' when you are logging in.

Didn't realise that was the case, my system logs me in automatically whenever I visit the site.

Say for example your boss knows that you occasionally visit the site during working hours. He/She might do a wee sneaky at 11am to see if you are online - they check for your username - but it's not there so you are saved from a bollocking or worse......... ....... but you're at your desk surfing happily through the threads as an anonymous user
Guest Ruggy Bairn
Doesn't take a genius to work out who the "regular" anonymous user is anyway!!! Cheers, Kev
ALL HÚNS 'n' TIMS ARE SCUM
....... but you're at your desk surfing happily through the threads Why is it we call browsing the internet, surfing. Yet when people are caught looking at porn, its called trawling?
Savage Henry
What exactly is an anonymous user? I think you'll find the correct answer is " a heroin addict in a balaclava".
