Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz was pretty good, as was Dean Ambrose vs Cesaro. I enjoyed the Paige heel turn and the altercation between Stephanie and Brie Bella. Wasn't fussed about the rest of the show. Ira Gaines Posted July 22, 2014 Share Posted July 22, 2014 Few things. * Paul Heyman is brilliant. Not much else there. * All of the Steph/HHH/prison stuff was great. A good way to payoff the rancid Brie involvement. Another note on HHH, the start of his promo at the beginning of the show was a total joy as he just ripped into everything. Randy Orton couldn't even drag things down too much, turning up full of intensity and anger. Kane turned up though and that was it for this promo, and then Roman Reigns turned up talking at what seemed to be half his usual speed, sounding a bit too much like the Randy Orton we've gotten used to. * Bray Wyatt not cutting the exact same promo he'd been cutting in the buildup to Battleground was a welcome change and it was actually back to the norm for him. * Ziggler vs. Miz was a really good match, but they kinda ruined the whole face thing by making absolutely nothing of Miz taking an elbow to the coupon and then a Fameasser in one of the nearfalls. The whole face thing gives Miz's matches an easy direction to take, and allows the fans to get more and more into it, so doing stupid shit like that can only hurt matters. Outside of that good work. Cesaro vs. Ambrose was a fun match as well with the two of them throwing the big guns at each other. * Paige looked good in the psycho bitch role post-match and it's certainly far better than how awkward she was as a babyface.
