Christophe
That was ridiculous! Not one landed clean on him after the knock down, dunno what he was thinking about. Johnson calling for a big money fight but he's not getting near McGregor and Diaz already bossed him. I'd like to see something fresh to continue his build back, Chiesa maybe? -
port-ton
I saw big john and herb talking the other day about the 5 stages of a knockdown starting with falling backwards with your hands by your side stopping your fall being the less serious, all the way to your body collapsing under you being the most serious and how referees judge the seriousness of a situation based on this.Hall's stage of knockdown was on the more serious side and would have had alarm bells ringing for Herb. Hall wasn't really defending himself and although nothing was really connecting on the ground the referee has a duty to protect the fighter's health.Probably stopped too soon but he has a split second decision to make and one more connected punch and Hall could have been out for the count and suffered serious damage.

Ira Gaines
So UFC will strip the title from Conor as promised then?
Christophe
Doubt they waste the chance to market a simultaneous two weight champ just yet. I reckon they see what happens here first. I'm assuming it is a title match, yeah? -

But if the strong rumours are to be believed, aye, it's a title fight.
GiGi
What's the point in calling him simultaneous 2-weight champion if he's not defended his current belt yet and has only avoided being stripped on Dana's good graces? If he win's he's a double weight champion on technicality alone until he defends his FW belt.
AUFC90
Can't see him not defending his belt to be honest..if he wants to. Aldo will get knocked out again. It might take a bit longer the 2nd time around but it will happen.

Ira Gaines
So Alvarez vs Khabib seems to be the fight for 205. EDIT: Pretty much confirmed on Twitter by Dana.
Christophe
McGregor refusing to give up the belt then -
Ira Gaines
Can they not just strip him like they said they would?
Fisherman
Yeah, my guess would be they've tried to make Conor Alvarez but Conors been awkward again so Dana's spat the dummy and announced to a random fan that Khabib will get the shot.Aldo McGregor in December is my guess.
mrcat1990
Alvarez v McGregor would've been fun, but muthafucking Khabib man. You can't not be excited.
Waffelz
No ones beating Conor at 145 and no ones beating Khabib at 155.
JamieStevenson
So Alvarez failed to sign agreement for Khabib so that fight is now proposed for UFC 206 instead But in regards to UFC 205 we have: Woodley did announce that he is fighting Thompson but UFC haven't made that official. Press conference on Tuesday to announce the full card.

port-ton
300k PPV buys at first New York card at this rate. Disaster for the new owners looking to get their money back.
DigOutYourSoul
Surely has to be a big main event, don't know what they're going to pull out but that looks awful for the first NYC show.
