Honky Tonk Man
They've pillaged Disintegration. Only lullaby really left from that album.
CountyFan
I was at the BST show last year too and it was tremendous. They're criminally underrated by my generation. Fucking incredible band and a really influential one at that.

Makes sense with it being the anniversary. Surprised they didn't announce one of their UK festival dates as having the album in full. Especially Summer Sessions which is basically their own show.

Sergeant Wilson
I was at this gig, they were a bit different then. 19 fucking 80! Edited June 30, 2019 by Sergeant Wilson
Honky Tonk Man
I remember when they would finish with 'a forest' and just leave the guitars reverbing and walk off. The bassline for that song is still one of the the simplest and best I've heard.

Honky Tonk Man
Lol MM. Roger o'Donnell reminds me a bit of food critic Tracey McLeod.

Honky Tonk Man
Sergeant. Let's hope they save early stuff to the end. County fan, I think boys don't cry was one of the last songs at BST. They also played 1015 Saturday night, jumping someone else's train and killing an Arab. I suspect we won't get all of these tonight.

I could weep!

Sergeant Wilson
They should be doing like Kylie did and bringing on a guest. e.g. Sousxie for a quick Dear Prudence.

Honky Tonk Man
Great set by the Cure. Still smashing it after 40 years. Rob looked quite overwhelmed at the end

I was only ever at two gigs in The City Halls, The Cure and The Slits. I remember seeing Altered Images and Josef K, but can't remember which way round they were. I paid £2.00 for The Police at the Apollo. Edited July 1, 2019 by Sergeant Wilson
Guest Moomintroll
Bob Smith has the look of a Moyet/Goldthwaite offspring. This post deserves far more plaudits than it has received.
