Confidemus
Popular forummer SJC lives on a boat. In the fucking middle of Edinburgh. Let us celebrate this fantastic fact. He's done the Falkirk wheel and, being the trouserhawk he is, I'm guessing he's had a hooker in every port. So, SJC, regale us with tales of nautical wonder and post any new pics you have. And forummers, feel free to ask SJC any boaty questions you have. Here is a picture of a boat I took yesterday And here's a picture of SJC himself

And how many knots can she go at, top speed? f**k knows why I'm asking this though, I have no idea how fast a knot is.
sjc
What's the farthest you've taken your brief, SJ? And how many knots can she go at, top speed? f**k knows why I'm asking this though, I have no idea how fast a knot is. I've only sailed her on 4 seperate occasions. Once for an hour in the canal down in Nottingham where I agreed to buy her, 2nd was when she was delivered to Grangemouth...I had to sail her up the River Carron & through the sealock into the Forth & Clyde Canal at Grangemouth marina, 3rd was an 8hour sail through 19no locks plus the Falkirk Wheel to Linlithgow from Grangemouth marina and finally a 9hour sail in the pouring rain from Linlithgow to Fountainbridge in Edinburgh. Top Speed? She goes about 8-9mph but its frowned upon as it causes erosion the the banks of the canal.
