Enigma Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Galloway now has based his political career on dog whistling his way to office, which won't work in Scotland. It's rare that I look at Scottish politics and feel my heart swell with patriotism but when he couldn't even get in on the list in Glasgow I must admit a tear came to my eye. Well played weegies, well fucking played. I think Galloway - Salmond debates in Holyrood would have been at the least entertaining, one hopes he would have got it up the Scottish Labour mob too. Like you though, I'm glad he wasn't elected up here and doesn't have a platform to spout him push from in Scotland. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
beermonkey Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Really struggling to find any logic to Mr. Galloway when it comes to Scottish Independence. He travels the world preaching freedom for numerous other states, yet his "just say naw" tour tells us to vote to be better together. Ill admit to my pro independence bias, but IMO his stance exists solely to protect his own career. The far left in England is all but dead, and outside of his constituency the only place he has political relevance is north of the border. Thoughts? Galloway fuckin off to one of these middle east shiteholes he seems to love would do nicely. The guy's a c**t. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Salmond has grown with the resonsibility of being First Minister, Galloway has spent the last decade or so receding into the swamp. It's appropriate that he now hawks his conscience to various dubious Middle Eastern television stations, fulminating in support of tyranny from afar. Ugh. MassiveFanDan Posted January 12, 2014 Share Posted January 12, 2014 Can't say I spend much time listening to Galloway, but there are a fair few of the old school socialist types who are against independence. If you go back to Marxist ideology then nationalism was perceived as being "bourgeois" - the idea being that the ruling classes play up artificial national/ethnic/religious distinctions to keep the workers divided and prevent them from forming a single block of opposition. So instead they support a political power structure that was dreamt up by semi-feudal noblemen 300-odd years ago, which keeps the workers under the sovereignty of the Crown in Parliament, and has literal Lords sitting in it's legislature by right of blood? Clever fellows. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

~~~ Posted January 14, 2014 Share Posted January 14, 2014 I see George is blaming the SNP for West Lothian council blocking his Just Say Naw event, despite it being a Labour run council He also believes Gordon Brown is the turning point in the referendum debate as Scotland has more respect for Brown than Salmond Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Todders Posted January 14, 2014 Share Posted January 14, 2014 George Galloway is so against anti-catholic sectarianism is Scottish society, as soon as he runs into a wee bit of trouble during his attention seeking, pocket filling tour he runs of to none other than anti-catolic bigot Donald Findlay for legal help.
