MikeyWellFan
I don't know why everyone is getting so hung up with accounts when quite clearly UEFA consider them not to be eligible on the basis that they have not been licensed for 3 consecutive years. Only when they have held licence with the SFA for a period of 3 years will further criteria -such as accounts - be considered. At this stage the production or otherwise of accounts is irrelevant. So when the 'club' was bought, what happened to the licence? Did it get lost or something?
Apache Don
So when the 'club' was bought, what happened to the licence? Did it get lost or something? Yes but all the sensible folk know and accept that 'The Club' was not bought, only the assets.

WhiteRoseKillie
But UEFA stated that only the club’s corporate structure had changed. Go on, Tedi, post us your UEFA link. Go on, you know you want to.
bennett
Can Rangers International not ask BDO for a copy of the club's accounts from the pre transfer era? Did Chucky Green not get a copy when he tried to buy the company from D&P? If they are the same club the surely a copy of the old company's accounts would suffice and the European exclusion would be limited to one season, as has been the case for others falling foul of the FFP rules? Best write up another letter to the CAB mate....
bennett
The old adding smilies to your post routine as patented by the QC, that always impresses the P's and D's. Normans fair stormin the boards today.
WhiteRoseKillie
The ASA ruling has already caused enough pain in these parts, fell free to indulge your own masochism if you want. No link, then? Why on earth not?
Keith197141
Is the obvious reason the fact that your club wouldn't get past the first team they were drawn against, therefore doing absolutely zero for the co-efficient?... You mean like Malmo or some Lithuanian diddies. Bluenose in divorced from reality shocker.
Magoo9uk
Rangers are unlikely to win the SC this season but I have to say I'm finding the reaction of the P&D's to the very idea most pleasing. One can only imagine the wailing and gnashing of teeth (tooth,if you're if in Yorkshire) if this did come to pass.... "Because the new club has only been in existence for two years - not three years - we had to apply for a derogation of the rule," said the Derry chairman. Who is to say though UEFA wouldn't accept Rangers application for a an exemption should it come to that? The suits over in Nyon can be a funny bunch at times. bennett
If we play as negatively as that next week we're f**ked, just need to go for it and take the game to the Dundonians, if we get humped then we get humped.

muttonhumper
The answer is no. The reason is plain and simple. They are a new club. Not even 2 years old. If they were not a new club, this debate would not even be happening.
