Well said cafu, some great memories of that premier league campaign. the guys involved at glens now are winners who know what it takes to be succesful at that club. I have no doubt last weeks result will be a catalyst for them moving up the table. Were happy at bell with our progress so far. It's some league with anybody capable of beating anybody on there day. Looking forward to the second half of the season. Bluebells are blue

Ex Tayport striker Simon Murray (Dalkeith tormentor) who scored a hat-trick for Arbroath against Bo'ness recently, signed for Dundee United after the Arbroath v Montrose match that I took in today.

Very quick move from the East Premier to the Scottish Premier.

Good luck to him.

Montrose FC freed him as a kid. Then was playing for Downfield. Tayport signed him and he scored a bucket load in their promotion season (Most against Dalkeith).

Then went on his travels to Australia before retrning around Easter time. Tayport who held his registration played him once or twice before he appeared a few times for Violet as a triallist. Agreed terms with Arbroath at this point. Did not actually start a league game until October but has netted 18 times already. Match balls against Bo'ness and East Fife for hat tricks. Scored a cracker today.

Some good pictures here.

Great move for him. Well earned after his form at Arbroath. Big step up to make but would be nice to see him do well.

If he's out if contract in the summer, could united not gave just signed him on a pre contract and saved 50k if he's going back on loan anyway?

Very tight league shown by recent results, with teams fighting relegation winning at promotion chasers.

With Ballingry folding, what's been decided on promotion from premier to super, and relegation to the north and south. I haven't heard anything official.

Why do the west always get there fixtures for the next few weeks ahead but mr reilly cant seem to do it here surely you can say these are the fixtrues provisonally and if there are scottish replays then find a different fixture its not hard

Agree if they can do it why cant the East Tayport for example have had some amount of home games ok some may be cup ties but they are going to have some travelling to do In the league from now on.After yesterdays result that may not be a bad thing whats going on there finest?

It seems to be swings and roundabouts with whose fixtures' secretary is ahead of the game. The West guy gets his fair share of pelters during the season with fingers pointing to any recent East postings

Ballingry are a relegated side so no need for any decision to be made Dunc.Promotion and relegation from the league HAS to go ahead as previously set out at the start of the season. This will leave our division with one fewer team next season. Nothing in rules to say this HAS to be rectified mate...............get yourself out the bottom four if you want to stay up.

Ballingry situation is slightly different to a relegated side though, as they won't be competing in the premier league next season meaning the league size will be different than the previous few seasons.

Regardless, We need to put a run together to get out of the relegation zone and aren't looking for any moved goalposts to stay up. We aim to do that on our own merit so totally agree with u billy about getting out of the bottom 4.

Just heard a few rumblings around the premier league staying with the same number of teams which may have meant another promoted place from the North / South. 3rd place in each playing off to go up OR only 3 going down.

Obviously a lot of speculation and wondered if anything had been officially said.

Doesn't look like it though, and as u say Billy it may well be a premier league with 15 teams.

Went to watch forfar west end v jeanfield. Jeanfield got what they deserved in the end after west end being lucky early on. Had it not been for west ends front two they would have really struggled. I have now seen west end a few times and they must be the worst team defensively I have seen. The majority of the blame has to come down to the manager though surely he is identifying this but does not seem like he cares. Think west end will struggle to keep hold of the the number 7 and the boy scoring goals as without them west end are very average. Jeanfield looked very good especially in the second half but on this showing neither of these teams will be competing come the end of the season. Away the dokens!
