Burnie_man
I never make predictions, and West Calder is always a tough game for us and is never easy being a local derby. A tough opener.

daleboy1969
John Gaffney Memorial Trophy Armadale Thistle 1 Blackburn United 3 Still with a below strength side and fielding a few U21 trialists, Blackburn fell behind early on but were retaining possession well without causing too much alarm in the Dale defence. Second half was different with McQuillan equalising, then a fantastic 20 yard fk from the trialist left back put Burnie ahead before a second McQuillan goal late on sealed the win. well done blackburn and thanks for the game ..hope you pass bathgate on the way up to the premier ..all the best for the season ahead

Burnie_man
Blackburn United 0 West Calder Utd 3 As good as Burnie were on Saturday against Armadale, it was night and day with this performance, still lacking a number of players there was only one change to the starting line-up. A fairly even first have saw few clear cut chances until the stroke of half time when Gavin McQuillan in the Cauther goal first denied his brother Andy and blocked Fraser Spence's follow-up, it should have been 1-0, but as often happens Cauther go up the park and score a 20 yard screamer in injury time to change the balance. Second half an early scrambled goal from a corner had Cauther in easy street and they wrapped up the points with 20 to go for a deserved win. Blackburn will need to improve dramatically, and get players back off holiday and the treatment table to get three points against Crossgates on Saturday.
