Are Dunbar the only team in this league! Thinks it's time to leave them, they seem to get all the talk on here but still finish average league position....

That's what happens when you become the man city of the south division......Wonga.

Blackburn Utd 1 Royal Albert 2

Still badly below strength but Blackburn were the better team throughout, missed a pen and had a goal disallowed but went in 1-0 down. Hit the post before equalising with 13 to go through McQuillan but caught on the counter with 4 left. Much improved from Saturday,

A good number of U21's on show, with Joe Brady being signed before the match.

Was at the Tranent game the other day and didn't realise we had brought back the goalkeeper Andy jack who played for Tranent a few years back. Always thought he was a good keeper and seems he had the captaincy aswell. Who was the wee right back? I know it was a couple of late goals but didn't think we played that badly, certainly better than I thought we would be.

From the clubs facebook page

The Pavilion

There have been many comments as to the time it has taken to get the pavilion situation resolved and hopefully we are making some progress. The club was given bad advice at the beginning of this saga, and a pretty bad offer that we could not possibly have accepted for the good of the club moving on. We have thus been in constant contact with loss adjustors, the insurance company and lawyers to try to get them to accept that repairing the old pavilion was not an option (as anyone who has now seen it would agree). It has finally been accepted that the only option is to demolish the existing structure and erect a new building - hopefully based on plans that we had made a few years ago. The whole bidding process had to be gone through again and it has become clear that the money from the insurance company will not be enough to fund this. We are therefore having to seek additional funding. Needless to say this also takes time, however, we are hopeful that things can get underway soon.

In the meantime, we continue to have permission to use Whitburn Academy's pitch and changing facilities for home games. This is hardly ideal from a number of perspectives, but it has been sanctioned by the East Region. Hopefully we can get back to our home of Central Park before too long.

Very poor that junior teams have to play at a school park. Ground sharing not a possibility??

Surely with all the space in the ground some temporary cabins could be used until the situation has been resolved. Strange that 1 rule for 1 team but when other clubs have had issues with parks they have been told to sort it.
