Is it me or am I the only one missing something here. Who's detracting from the bigger picture. The point about attending more Hurlford games than some of you guys that post on here was made as part of a bigger point. Nothing more nothing less. If either yourself or anyone else on here can look back and point out anywhere where I have done nothing but condone the actions of anybody on Saturday please do so. I don't expect an answer on that one cos I haven't. I have not commented on various accusations because I either didn't see them or I purposefully didn't want to detract from the main point. So come on the Ford please point out exactly where I have said anything that detracts, condones or tried to cover up any of what happened on Saturday. Oh and just out of a matter of interest when was it you started to go and watch Hurlford regularly. As I may have stood near you many a time.

Apologies The One for my delay in replying to your earlier post.

I wasn't at any point saying that you did condone anyone's actions for what you witnessed on Saturday.

I just didn't see the relevance of being to more 'Ford games over a period of time than other posters on this site.

Apologies if I'm reading it wrong but that was how it came across.

And as for your question of when I started watching Hurlford regularly.

I started watching Hurlford on a regular basis in the mid 1980's. Although watched them on and off since the early 80's.

And believe it or not witnessed a match against Kilwinning at Abbey Park much worse than what happened on Saturday..

The match in question was a cup game and the then Hurlford keeper was Jack Steele from Larkhall.

He had been taking pelters from the 'shed end at Abbey park for the whole 2nd half.

A couple of minutes to go and the Buffs get a penalty!

Jack duly saved it and in turn spun round and crossed himself.

The shed emptied and all he'll broke loose!!

Sadly I'm not taking a seat on the bus on Saturday as I'm one of the guilty party going up by car!

Agreed guys. Let's all move on and let the guys that run the clubs to sort this essentially damaging situation to Junior football out. I didn't want to come on and post anything but I felt things had to be said in the hope that the situation is de escalated quickly.

Well said Southy!

I hope you enjoyed the banter about your 1st half time wasting and as you know it was light hearted.

Well mibby no the bit about it being arthritis lol (joking mate)

Hats off to you for coming on here in an attempt to diffuse things!

He offered the glenafton manager a square go in the car park at the final whistle in front of the stand which was full of glenafton fans which was how the whole episode all kicked off ,but you can always ask demps as it's was demps that's was holding him back.

Thats the truth as I saw what went on at the final whistle as well but obviously Demps is not prepared to admit it.

On the subject of attendances, I was thinking about this the other day. Have some of the people who came along to the Scottish Cup final started coming to Hurlford games regularly?

And before anyone shouts at me it's a serious question. I would have thought the fanbase would be growing now.

There are definitely more people from the village/area turning up on a Saturday, buts it's tens of rather than hundreds.

Don't know what the answer is - it will be difficult to equal never mind offer more success than last season.

But you can judge for youself on the 20th.

Debates a good thing Jim, you expect a bit of banter as well on a forum, but some people take anything posted on here about the club as 100% serious fact, even combine things together for their own means or agenda. After witnessing what I did at the weekend I feel the extent of the bitterness aimed by some towards Hurlford is getting completely out of hand, even dangerous.

Think every club wants more supporters, Hurlford are no different and we've seen crowds increase so that's some good news.

Mibby we should have contacted DippleBurn to find out where the best places are to stop (for a tea

And sandwich lol) on the way up! From his Zoo bus days lol.

I'm thinking either Pitlochry or Aviemore!

Then again probably less Kenny Paterson and more Patersons shortbread and tartan rugs from the aforementioned towns lol.

Inverness here we come!

3 more sleeps haha.

Apparently (and I have this from a good source) the Cumnock Chronicle have printed that this weeks 1st goal scorer competition at the Glens v Hurlford game was won by an anonymous person who donated the prize (£45) back to the club!!

With the chants of Hurlford's goin bust from the Glens fans mibby the committee member doesn't want anyone to know that the donation will keep us goin just that little bit longer lol.

We were more than happy to donate to the raffle, 1st goal scorer programme etc.

But even happier takin the Glens money!

We will kindly donate this to our nominated charity (FAHAP) and drop it off at a collection point tomorrow !

You'll need to get your sugar daddy to bung you a sub if your going to Pitlochry to eat. Auchterarder for a fish supper on the way back, pub next to the chippy. The Zoo Bus never stopped on the way home due to the police escort.

Saw a few where I was req to pay the postage but that's not happening :-)
