DeeTillEhDeh
[emoji23] That one of those disasters is going to win the Great British Bake Off pretty much sums up the level of talent on display all series tbhAgreed.Pretty poor standard for a final.
DeeTillEhDeh
Predictable winner.
The Naitch
Had to be Syabira really. Pretty underwhelming final, though.
Todd_is_God
As soon as Hollywood hinted previous bakes were going to be considered there was only going to be one winner. Not convinced she was the best baker in the final, but the bar was very very low. Edited November 15, 2022 by Todd_is_God
lichtie23
A distinctly average final to cap off a below average series. Gutted for Sandro, seems a really top lad

Gall09
General consensus seems to be that in pursuit of “excitement” they’ve cut the allocated time for the challenges whilst asking the bakers to do more and more in that short time. That was a dreadful final. I liked the 3 finalists but I couldn’t really care less who won. Also, they slightly changed the segment at the end where we used to be shown what EVERY baker was up to now. I did like the fact that Janusz went to visit Carol though.

RH33
I'm half way through last one. Think this will be last series. Lack baking, Noel and Matt's presenting, just haven't enjoyed it.

Savage Henry
New presenter announced: the completely insufferable Allison Hammond. Mumsnet regulars will be delighted, everyone else will be driven off. Last season was, by universal opinion, shite. Could this be the beginning of the end?

I’d lost interest to be honest after the last series but this just confirms I won’t be watching
Scotty Tunbridge
She’s a million times more watchable than Matt Lucas.

Savage Henry
Anyway. Something a bit odd with the latest celebrity edition last night - David Schwimmer was actually an excellent baker.
RH33
Bake off Professionals, suffers from same issues as main one, unrealistic times, nececcary themes and annoying presenters.
The Naitch
New series starts tonight. Alison Hammond is along for the ride and the bosses have promised to go back to basics for the challenges. We’ll see how long that lasts.
