lonewolfie
Willie McLaren could be a superb signing for you if he screws the nut and is motivated. At the peak of his game he was one of the best players that I've seen play for Airdrie but when he's having a bad day, he's worse than useless. Certainly has the technical ability to rip the pish at this level but it's whether he can be bothered or not that is the crucial factor. Came on as sub today - oh aye right we need him for the mighty ADL - £50 a week and £25 expenses - who made this decision?
JT_92
Came on as sub today - oh aye right we need him for the mighty ADL - £50 a week and £25 expenses - who made this decision? Sure the Colin Stewart Airdrie connection would have played some part in the decision. Ridiculous money if it's true... Of the forward players already there can't see how he will improve on Lewis, Agnew and Boylan who have still got plenty of time to improve obviously. Obviously only played one game so shouldn't jump to grand conclusions but that is a lot of money for a league which should be relatively straightforward to get out of with the squad that was already there. Kilwinning Ranger
He came on today and almost got us back level we didn't really play anywhere near the way we can and Fauldhouse deserved it as they controlled most of the game apart from the first 15 mins and the last 12 mins when we did have the pinned back But now important to get to the most important business get ourselves out of the ADL

442
Came on as sub today - oh aye right we need him for the mighty ADL - £50 a week and £25 expenses - who made this decision? First defeat at home this season and negativity has started. Don't know and don't really care what the guys are getting paid, the management team have a budget and it's completely upto them what they pay as long as the club is progressing. To me the squad needed improved as we have a good few young ones and required more experience, which l'm sure he will bring. Not the best of performances yesterday, taking into account though Fauldhouse are 2 leagues above us it was always going to be tough. Time to get back to league business and up the performances. Hopefully Ben Lewis will be returning soon as that would be a super boost to the team.
Kilwinning Ranger
Well said 442 at times our fans are too harsh and as you say they were two league above us and to be fair in the end we almost forced a replay but not to be Time to move on starting with Muirkirk at Abbey Park on Saturday
funky monkey
Fauldhouse didn't see the best of the Buffs yesterday and that's disappointing. In as much as the result and performance against Beith in the last round was exceptional, yesterday was the complete opposite, we just never got going, never played as a team and didn't control the game at any stage. Good luck to Fauldhouse in the next round, we just need to focus on getting out of the ADL of which I'm sure we will do. The club is making great strides on and off the park this season, it was great to see a big crowd (400?) inside Abbey Park again, shows the support is there if the team is doing it on the park. Onwards and upwards COYB!

Yeah reality check required here, a team full of local boys playing for the jersey and the management team, they are hardly trying to buy the league. Probably fourth or fifth budget wise in the League. The fact that he us known to the management and breaks the mould of the rest of the players suggest that his presence will bring more than just quality on the pitch. But why try and think outside the box when you can just speculate on someones wages and their quality after seeing 20 mins played. Nugget!!
