strong rumour that ex lichtie and forfar full back mark baxter wanted by montrose

He wouldn't get a game right now the way Cammy ballantyne is playing. Saying that Cammy will be back at utd after his season loan so if it was for next year it makes sense. Can't say I was too impressed with him last time I seen him play

Can anyone confirm that Donald McCallum actually exists?

I just came on here to see what the chat was with the Donz, disappointing that he's not getting a look in. I'm surprised someone like Ferns is getting a game ahead of him, Donald looked comfortably better than him at Championship level. I'm even more surprised that you were chasing a goal on Saturday and never threw him on - all of his goals for us bar 1 have come within minutes of him coming on a sub - he's a great option to bring on late in a game due to his pace.

I fear the end of the road for him is nigh.

It's very frustrating, although it did seem a bizarre signing at the time since we already had Doris, Prunty, Scott, Ferns and Skelly capable of playing up top. Doris is a nailed on starter, and I think he'd play well with McCallum. Hope he gets his chance and takes it, Doris can't do it all on his own. Every so often we'll revert back to Prunty up top but he's just not up to it unfortunately :(

He'll get a chance at one point. Prunty done well when he came on v Mo and I think that's what got him the start at the weekend.

Pleasantly surprised with Hodge at LB. Yes he's not a Jordan Lowden that'll be making overlaps all the time but he's steady, Gold does this down the other wing, think whoever is behind Bobby needs to be more defensive minded anyway. Uses the ball a lot better than Sukar.

His positioning was poor. He was missing at their goal and he has no pace. Other than that he's a great left back.

I think if we stuck to playing players in their natural positions and not playing Ferns we would be giving Forfar a harder time at the moment.

Missing at their goal? Whit, he was right next to him, he couldn't have done any more about it, wouldn't matter who closed the guy down it was a total fluke, it was a cross. What's wrong with his positioning? How often has he been beat for pace? I think he's done well there since the half time break at Links.

Ferns has played 2 bad games, we've won one of them, the other he came on when we were already getting beat.

If we stuck to playing players in their positions Davie Gold and Skelly wouldn't have had as good a season as they've had.

Hodge is a very average player imo doesn't add anything to the team in midfield or full back a proper full back would not have let the Stirling player in the pics above get a cross in he just stood off him and let him cross it....erm i mean shoot.

He never stood off him, that's harsh, he tries to block the cross, although he couldn't get near it because the guy fucked it up. Nothing he could've done there really, don't think you can blame him for that...!

I didn't really think he played that well against Clyde and against Forfar he should've been sent off, but he's done away perfectly fine there since he's moved into the position.

He's hardly a Jordan Lowden like but he's steady enough.

He allowed the guy to have a cross/shot that's why I said missing but it was probably the wrong choice of word.
A good defender would have stopped him crossing/shooting in my opinion.

I'm not trying to have a go at him but just saying he's not the answer to our left back question.

'Ferns has played 2 bad games'

Must be at the wind up.

Montrose away and when he came on Saturday. He was as ordinary as the rest of them v Forfar and had done well before that.

As for Hodge, you can't blame him for that, if the guy had actually put the ball across the goal I'm pretty sure he would've got his foot to it..

He was utterly pish against Forfar, he doesn't escape that because others were too.

Your defence of him is mind-boggling.

Utterly pish? Settle. He was utter mince v Montrose, then he had 3 moments where he made a right c**t of it against Stirling.

And he's one of our players, slating him and getting on his back won't help. Shouts from the terraces are cringey beyond belief. He's played the majority of his career at a higher level than were at now and done well there too.

What about getting behind the guy and not getting on his back too much, there's clearly a player in there, look at the difference in Davie Gold.. someone I also stuck up for on numerous occasions last year...
