BBC have it arse for tit. I think they're confusing people. It's all part of the overall total so the 32 areas aren't technically 'results' as there is only one actual 'result'

Each area will, when it's finished counting, announce it's final total for Yes and for No. This however does not constitute a "result" because only one question is being asked and it's being asked of the Scottish electorate as a whole. There will be no "Result" until all areas have finalised their numbers. However, in practice we will be made aware of each of the 32 areas as it declares and there will be a running total. Depending on what the final count is, it may well be clear who the winner is beforehand, the margin may even be bigger than the total electorate of that area, but still no "Result" will be declared until all votes are counted.
