Mr Bairn
Quite interesting that the two areas of lowest turnout went for Yes. My theory as to why this happened is that after the 51-49 yougov poll BTUKOK really started to hammer home the "get out and vote" message to the soft No's and undecideds that might well have stayed at home if the referendum was a week ago. Gordon Brown deserves a lot of credit and maybe he fancies a crack at the FM gig. now obviously with the lower turnout in Dundee/Glasgow and Yes winning it suggests that the undecideds/soft no's didn't bother on the day, and that's why Yes scored victories there, but with the nation going slightly more No than the polls suggested I have to think that BTUKOK going all in on turnout in the last few days is what swung it. Rain dances all around for the Yes campaign next time.
