BerwickMad
If they change direction THEY'RE NOT THE SAME FUCKING PARTY. If 'Labour' start espousing right-wing or centre-right views they are not Labour anymore. Which they've been doing since 1994. Imbeciles like jmothecat are not Labour voters or activists, they have no clue what Labour are supposed to stand for and actively rail against those very values their party is supposed to represent. Funny that you have identified yourself as a wee Labour fanboy though, your rage makes a lot of sense now. Absolute nonsense and it shows how little you understand politics. FuzzyAffro
I have a fucking degree in politics as it happens. Its blatantly you that doesn't understand, that's what politics is, people with shared values grouping together to form parties. If those values change it isn't the same party anymore, it just has the same name.

capybara
It's the SNP fault they don't have the power to nationalise the railways in Scotland ImageUploadedByPie & Bovril1427885675.269993.jpg Funny Blair was in power for years and they never looked at buying the railways back. Mr Rational
Parties are allowed to change policies, if you don't then you are inflexible and get nowhere fast. However, if you morph into your political opponents like labour clearly has, then to claim you are the same party is a bit laughable. As for Cameron getting in, that would mean a total abdication of power by labour. It would be a suicide note by the party, Scotland would never forgive them. It removes a massive stumbling block in the 16 election to power and if labour atand aside in May, it may open the doors to another referendum. If Milliband accepts a supply and confidence agreement and I believe he will, I would expect a shit load of actual proper powers coming our way. If not, we will hamstring them and cause as much chaos as we can. Either way, it's a win win.

You fly off the handle and abuse anyone that doesn't follow your narrow vision of the world. Even people who share your politics are embarrassed for you. Your lie here isn't going to convince anyone. I can objectively look at different opinions, that's how I know you're full of shit. 'Respect people's different political opinions' is just a generic line for 'my opinion is vacuous bullshit but please stop calling me out on it as I can't defend it'. That's what you're really saying there. Would you respect someone's political opinion that says I'm a white supremacist? Not all opinions are worthy or deserving of respect. And we didn't get raging wee Britnat trolls in our seminars, those I treat with the contempt they deserve.
WhiteRoseKillie
Being 25 makes my opinions invalid? Unless you studied the history of socialism, it certainly makes your opinion of what the Labour Party should stand for invalid. You've never known anything but business-friendly right wing government. What is so repellent about promoting the well-being of the people?
