Time to retire Jim, that line-up is horrific given the performance against Morton. Williamson, Chemin, Stirling and Thomson should all be in the starting line-up today.

Just as I type that we score - point still stands however.

also "managed to win" against a Championship side this season but whatevz.

i'm unsure where I stand on the JJ debate the noo but save your flack till a time when it might be relevant.

Byrne's goal sounds a bit special, anyone here see it?

Good to see Byrne actually impose himself on a game by setting one up and scoring one. Let's see if he can consistently do that from now on, he has the talent however doesn't show it often enough.

The Peterhead game will be interesting, that's where the real reaction should happen. Hopefully Jefferies doesn't tinker with the team and opts for the same line-up.

Ran from his own half, showed good footwork to take it around a player to still keep good pace, then had an incredibly calm finish. Very good individual goal.

The East Stirling goal was a peach.

He ran pretty much straight. The East Stirlingshire defence parted comically. Good finish though.

Good result. Need to take this into the league now. Hopefully Peterhead lose the plot like they did in the first game, but think they'll be a bit more disciplined now, so might only see the one player sent off from them.

Classy performance by Byrne. Similar run and cool pass to Faissal at the second goal as well as his goal. We'd been pretty pedestrian and it looked like he was determined to just take hold of the game and make things happen.

Always like to see a dinked penalty - good on MIllen. He takes a bit of flak but he's a gutsy lad. Great applause by the Pars fans for the Shire goal - nice bit of old fashioned sportsmanship.

Ranked along side the not celebrating a goal against your former side in the wanky stakes. Get it tae f**k.

Acht you old cynic! How often does it happen? Once every few seasons? Agree about the not celebrating against former clubs though - bizarre seeing the knicker wetting from fans getting upset seeing their former players playing against them.

Straight line. God knows what our (lack of) defence was thinking. Having said that, and despite four goals, pleased to see our defence looking a little bit more solid today!

The reason people are slightly critical despite the win is that we shouldn't be judged on games like this.

When it comes to the crunch we do not have it, Geggan said so himself in the paper today.

"We need to cut out the mistakes" "you can get away with it in the league to an extent but not in the cups"

Guess Geggan knows nothing also then.
