Venti
Does anyone actually care? Not heard that one. Was it a live album? OT: agree with 8mileBU's choices.

Hillonearth
St Anger doing great I see First three and Garage Days for me. Always found ...And Justice a bit of a dirge, and the Black Album's one of those ones that's excellent but has suffered from overexposure - wouldn't bother me if I never heard it again.
Ned Nederlander
Black Ride Master S&M Load As mentioned in previous threads I don't understand how anyone can stick Justice in there, I just never ever liked it and never listen to it. Load is a fairly underrated album IMO, "Thorn Within" & "Outlaw Torn" are superb.

forkboy
AJFA, then RTL, then MoP, then KEA, & then St Anger from a so-bad-it's actually-now-enjoyable perspective, and then Metallica.
DA Baracus
"Invisible Kid, no one knows where he is" Aye, that St Anger wasn't so bad....
Hillonearth
The songs on St Anger weren't that bad - the band running through them on the accompanying DVD sound pretty good - it was the deliberately grating production that killed them on the album. Although strictly not a Metallica album, there's also not a lot of love out there for Lulu. I thought it was actually quite good, but a lot of old school 'tallica fans lost their shit about it.

Black Album "The Unnamed Feeling", "Frantic" and the title of St Anger aren't bad. The rest is guff though. That snare drum was like someone smacking a Quality St tin.
DA Baracus
Aye Frantic is a decent tune. But the rest was howling shite
bennett
I think i got about half way through St Anger before i had to take the disc out, it was minging. Edited November 14, 2014 by bennett
DA Baracus
I think i got about half way through St Anger before i had to take the disc out, it was minging. You did well to get that far. I mind being pretty excited when the video for St Anger first came on. I knew they had a new album and this was the first single. So it starts off with them having to go through security at San Quentin with hardened killers looking on. I'm thinking it's promising. Then it starts. And the prisoners must wonder what they did to deserve it.
