Jute Posted December 10, 2014 Share Posted December 10, 2014 Going by some of the 49ers forums there are certainly plenty of doubters now, that's for sure! He's still making rookie errors almost 3 years after becoming a regular starter, 3 delay of game penalties yet again last night. Never been that keen muself, would have liked to have seen how Alex Smith fared with the current 49ers receiving corps, don't think he ever had those options when he was there and was dismissed by many as simply a game manager. Think a lot of 9ers fans forget that Alex Smith was only two Kyle Williams fumbles away from taking 9ers to Super Bowl . I still believe that if 9ers had stuck with Smith we would have another title in the bag by now. That said I was at first two games CK7 played and the buzz created by dynamic style of play especially in the demolition of the Bears was unbelievable and I can see why coaching staff thought they had something.
