Zing.
We are the best footballing team in Scotland, possibly the UK. We had 21 passes before the third goal yesterday, liquid football from the Lochend Brazil
Rover the Moon
Hibs are the best team to have played in this league. The 1998/99 vintage that is.
Elixir
Hibs are the best team to have played in this league. The 1998/99 vintage that is. That was the First Division, not the Championship. And it was a team they couldn't afford (cheated etc).

Elixir
We're of course on track to win more points than Hibs did in 1998-99 and in a tougher league to boot.

How do you know it's a tougher league now than it was then? You weren't there. The standard of Scottish football now compared with the mid to late 1990s is absolute murder. The Falkirk team of 98/99 would probably piss all over the current Rangers, Hearts and Hibs teams, for example.

The 90s was an utter shambles for a large number of clubs.

Hibs had a considerably bigger budget than every other side in the division back then and were expected to cakewalk the league. This season, our budget is similar to theirs and far smaller than Rangers'. We should really only be fighting it out for 2nd place but instead we're cantering to the title. That's because Rangers have spent money on shite. Hibs didn't back then. There is absolutely no evidence to say the league is harder now than it was back then. Elixir
The presence of three of Scotland's powerhouse clubs quite clearly makes it a tougher division in relative terms.
