blue manalishi
How old are Newmains? I'm guessing about 10 years now. Formerly Coltness United of course.
hardest ned in glasgow
Johnny's a good manager. got a lot of time for him. he knows the local area well, so should be able to put together a good team for next season. Tommy Dougan who's down there with him and is also a fitness coach, using stuff he learned from his military days, and physio. I really hope they do well, n I'm sure they will. no pressure johnny lol
LeedsPhil
Has the commitee issues been resolved yet? Bump. After bowing out of the Central League Cup tonight, Newmains' last Home game of this season will therefore be this Saturday's (18th April). Is there a Committee to take the club into next season? - quite serious concerns were posted just a few weeks back...
billthetim
Bump. After bowing out of the Central League Cup tonight, Newmains' last Home game of this season will therefore be this Saturday's (18th April). Is there a Committee to take the club into next season? - quite serious concerns were posted just a few weeks back... Thanks for your concern , and apologies for not replying sooner. Yes the committee has some new blood , and more will follow in the next month or so as we prepare for next season . There has been some very positive interest from all sorts of people who may get on board , but as is the case with almost every Junior club we need more . I can say 100% that Newmains will continue next season and would like to thank all for their good wishes. We even had an email from Man United today offering us a signed ball to help us boost our annual charity fund. It is a fantastic gesture that a club of their stature offered to help us. Lets hope some more like minded people follow suit. Our charity for this year is the childrens ward at Wishaw General so please spread the word if you feel so inclined. We have also been offered a game against Celtics development squad and this will help hugely as well. We will publish dates etc . once we have them , but in the meantime if your club is not playing this weekend why not come along to Victoria Park to watch Newmains V Cambuslang Rangers. kick off 2 p.m.. You can be assured of a warm welcome and the best roll n sausage in Junior football! Sincere thanks to all of you for your good wishes. It is really appreciated.
