West Coast of Scotland Trip

Applecross road,... Bealach na Baa might be a tad difficult with a rented motor home........just saying.

Take the road to Mallaig via Arisaig and the wee ferry to Skye, over the bridge to Plockton, after that anywhere North is beautiful.

I did it in a Mini and it was pretty hairy in places, especially when meeting a bus tour coming the other way. Think Top Gear death road! The longer route into Applecross is also a very nice drive, with the chance of seeing a submarine or two, have done this in a 1960s VW campervan. I love Applecross, not much other than the pub but it really is a fantastic meal you get there in stunning surroundings, just watch out for the midge.

If you are going to Skye then Glenbrittle is a fantastic location, right on the beach that allow camp fires, Fairy_Pool.jpg?t=1311198571and within walking distance of the fairy pools
