Mon eh Ton
Hamilton would be a decent starter for most Championship and League 1 sides. Good deal for Livi since he'll probably be on loan the whole time and might turn out to be a better prospect than Schwake. Maybe not the best deal for him, but that's the risk of holding out for so long and I'd be surprised if we were the only ones to offer him a contract after last season. Crawford looks a decent signing. A bit more experience will hopefully have a positive impact on what is quite a young squad.

You'd be surprised if he ever actually plays for us Not that weird is it? You just sold a keeper and brought in a replacement. No danger he's behind Schwake either.

port-ton
Knew he had been training with Livi for a few weeks but thought they'd decided against signing him due to bringing down the guy from down south in. Probably not the ideal scenario being a back up but he's got bills to pay and the season has started. it's a bit of security for him as well on a 2 year deal on what is most likely better wages and he's more than capable of performing if called upon.

He wont go out on loan, he's just third choice keeper so we can keep Schwake out developing rather than coming back for cover. Schwake is only 20 and getting good first team games at a solid level now. 18 minutes ago, Jamie_M said: Not that weird is it? You just sold a keeper and brought in a replacement. Even in cups Konovalov will likely play if Shamal doesn't.

The only other rumours for him has been backup at St Johnstone which maybe never materialised. If he felt he wanted the step up again then choice was limited. Your announcement said he had a couple of Championship offers but no hint of anything else. He could have waited for Dundee Utd to admit that their Aussie is a dud, but they will likely go and get Zander Clark like they stupidly didn't do in the first place. Where else?

True, pretty limited if he wants to get in at this level to be fair. Although I don't think Zander Clark is even that good, had a good season last season but seriously suspect in the ones before. Even in the double year he chucked a few in.

Trading two months' wages for an extra twelve months on a contract at his age was not the brightest move to pay his bills and have security. Moving back to the east coast though is probably a more important factor.

The Ghost of B A R P
Excellent. Was expecting one more signing, but something tells me we’ll see more than that….
Dunning1874
This is terrific news in and of itself just for securing a good manager, but Imrie buying into a long term vision for the club and the club committing to a long term deal again after previously having their fingers burned giving one to MacPherson are also clear indications that the Dalrada investment is a game changer. Things are looking up.

MORleyTON
Spoke to Gordon Ritchie outside the ground, said that we definitely were in for an international player, not foreign per sé but an international. ( I asked who but he couldn't say) Said the money came In two weeks too late but that we are in for another player, but the pickings are slim. Plus side is that due to the money that's come in, we can aim for a decent standard. Edited August 27, 2022 by MORleyTON

An excellent fortnight or so across most fronts. There's still much to sort out on the commercial side, stewards etc. but between the stadium deal, Imrie's vote of confidence and a win today there's a real sense of momentum. Hopefully it'll spur everyone involved at the club from boardroom to the terraces to push us on further, as it can become a self-fulfilling cycle at a football club once things get going.
