Thought Matty Bennet was man of the match his runs forward caused Hurlford a lot of problems & he put in a lot of dangerous crosses which on another day with better finishing Kilbirnie could have taken all 3points.

Good team spirit & a some good football on show today.

He can turn on a sixpence, I liked him when Shotts had him for a couple of games last term.

Ref was awful, not just decisions against us, Ford too.

Though draw was prob fair result, happy with our performance, just lacked a cutting edge in the final third. Whenever we did put some cracking deliveries in the box there was nobody there to put it away. As GB touched on effort from the guys tremendous yesterday. Heads never went down after going 1 nil down

Great display by Ladeside yesterday against a decent Troon team.

Could have scored more 2nd half ....Boyds goal had quality all over it.Bennet was unlucky when his shot went wide after beating half the Troon team in a lung bursting run from his own half.

Defence looked solid ,midfield worked hard all day,up front the pace & passing was first class.

Saturday 12th September V Arthurlie current league leaders.

Good recent record against Arthurlie so should be some game.

Dallas will need to marked closely & big Scott Gair if he plays will have a busy day on his return to Valefield.

Kilbirnie playing well with plenty options going forward & defence looking good.

Commemorative Wall at Valefield

The club are delighted to announce a new initiative which will give supporters, past and present, the opportunity to create a long term memento, within the ground, of their passion and support for our club.

You can now buy a brick facing which will be mounted on the interior of the roadside wall to act as a permanent record of your commitment to Ladeside which will be there for future generations to see.

The facings can have two lines of text, maximum of 16 to 18 (depends on content) characters per line. The text can include your name, significant dates, messages or whatever you like. Ian Johnston has a sample to show anyone who is interested.

We hope that this will be of interest to current supporters, family of supporters who are no longer with us, ex players, used as a great gift for birthdays and special occasions etc.

We hope to sell a reasonable number of bricks in the early days which we will start the wall off with but we will continue to add to the wall for many years to come. Our lasting legacy to future generations of Ladeside supporters.

To ensure that as many people as possible can participate we will be selling the brick facings for £20, the lowest price recommended by our suppliers.

If you are interested please contact Ian Johnston to agree the wording you wish to use. If you can think of others, out-with our current supporters, who may be interested please spread the word.
