Game on Saturday saw them eventually get a deserved win against Nuremberg (down to 10 men after 11 minutes), though it took time to get going. Result lifts them off the bottom spot. Today’s results with both Augsburg & Stuttgart losing also keep things tight at the bottom of the table. Next up a trip to Hoffenheim. Huge win for H96 especially with other results going their way as you say. Watched the Stuttgart game yesterday and although Fortuna are in good form and have done very well to pull themselves up the table, Stuttgart are an absolute gang and I fully expect them to be in the bottom two come the end of the season. Probably not a good time to be visiting Hoffenheim after their heroics in Dortmund though!
German Jag
Swiftly back down to earth against Hoffenheim, after last weeks ‚positive‘ set of results. Took Hoffenheim all of 4 minutes to go 1 up, and 2 up after 13 minutes. H96 never at the races, with 1 shot on target all game. Hoffenheim made the points safe with a 3rd in the 80th minute. Shite finishing / couple of top notch saves from Esser prevented a 7 or 8 nil gubbing. Just over 600 H96 fans in attendance. Is a long long day, ca. 14 hour round trip! Next up a sh!te Sunday game at home to Frankfurt.
Afro
The impressive Dortmund bottle crash continues. 0-0 away to Nurnberg, vast majority of possession but didn’t put their opponents under any real pressure towards the end. Bayern haven’t been great at all but you’d fancy them now to continue their form and overhaul the 3 point gap.
Todd_is_God
Kiel coach claims Union players are basically shite, and more interested in falling down than playing football... Union totally outplay them on their own patch, winning 2-0 Edited March 1, 2019 by Todd_is_God

German Jag
The proverbial shite day at the office (though not sure if we were even at the office) as H96 got gubbed 5-1 by VfB Stuttgart. Mario Gomez left in acres if space opened the scoring after just 4 minutes. 3-0 at half-tome courtesy of two goals by Ozan Kabak. A flicker of hope for H96 when Jonathas scored in the 68th minute. All done & dusted with two goals in quick succession from Steven Zuber either side the 80th minute mark. (Zuber’s wife Mirjana is worth a google!). Difficult to see H96 avoiding relegation from the current predicament! Currently on the staunchest of trains, the ICE 1690. Get home ca. midnight.Next up Leverkusen at home on Sunday at the awful time of 6pm!
Stellaboz
Looks like a cracking ground though. I also think Hannover are done this season, it'll take a miracle to turn things round if the defence are so open.
AyrTroopMajor
With Hannover having already played the new manager card and still being absolutely f***ing stinking, it's hard to see them playing Bundesliga football next season. Other teams that have looked equally rank at times (Augsburg, Mainz, Stuttgart) have also shown they are capable of pulling results out the bag, but aside from beating 10-man Nurnberg at home, Thomas Doll doesn't seem to have improved anything at H96.

German Jag
Horrendous conditions in Hannover yesterday. What started off as drizzle before kick-off, changed pretty quickly to sleat and then snow resulting in almost slapstick as any attempt to play the ball on the deck was doomed to being held up. As exemplified by Haraguchi's shot on goal here:- https://youtu.be/v1ESIbkTaD8 2-0 for Leverkusen by half-time courtesy of two goals from Kevin Volland. The snow led to the game being stopped on numerous occasions in order for the lines round the penalty box to be made visible. Glimmer of a point for H96, as Jonathas as well as an own goal from Weiser brought the scores level. All in vain though as Kai Havertz secured the points in the 87th minute. Nowhere near the 33.800 official attendance in the stadium. Next up a trip to Augsburg.

On strike as the game is on a Monday night. Shame for the protesting fans that all the goals came in the second half. I had a chuckle at them playing Boomtown Rats "I Don't Like Mondays" over the PA right before kickoff!

Ball was holding up all the time with passes falling short, players unable to run with the ball and, of course, the unfortunate Haraguchi’s effort. I wonder if the game was 0-0 after 30 odd minutes if the ref would have abandoned it ? Entertaining watch nonetheless.
