Other Leagues 15/16

Is next weekend the last fixtures of the Argentinian league or is there a split after? Wiki doesn't explain it very well. Looks like end of season but then a split for another trophy? The setup of the entire league looks bizarre anyway...
Also when are the games? I've read 7th at 11pm, 8th at 12am/9pm. Presumably not on TV but would watch a stream if it's on at a reasonable time
Last games of the regular season then there are 2 groups (described as a League Cup) where there is a final for this other trophy and the Coppa Libertadores and Coppa Sudamerica places are decided. As always in Argentina it's new and a bit messy.

Cheers. Seems like it starts at 12am on 8th according to Google.

And Boca Juniors take the title with Tevez scoring the winner against Maradona coached Gimnasia.

Don't think River will be happy. Goal wrongly chopped off for offside at 0-0, and at least 1 (maybe 2) clear penalties not given. Some dodgy tackles from Atletico as well. Although maybe I'm just not used to watching Argentinian football as the ref never even gave a yellow for one of them.

The other Bundesliga starts back up on June 2nd, personally I'd love for Rapid to win the league but it doesn't look likely, LASK Linz winning would be a nice change and stop Red Bull from winning 7 in a row. The league tables are slightly confusing, Austria Wien are top of the bottom 6 on less points than Hartberg who are bottom of the top 6 but Austria Wien are currently in a Europa League playoff spot.

As diddy as the SPFL  is, at least it's better than Austria's football set up

Primeira Liga of Portugal starts up again Wednesday 3rd of June, unfortunately the only way to watch games in Canada is to subscribe to a streaming app or have Benfica TV, a bit shite considering how many Portuguese there are in Canada.

Poland bringing fans back in to stadiums in 3 weeks apparently. Only read the headline but seems like max 25% capacity for the stadiums.
Will be interesting to see the attendances and general fan conduct. Legia normally average around 18k. They'd only be allowed 7.5k max in their stadium.

Be interesting to see how they organise this. Presumably no away fans, and only season ticket holders. Plus if they have over 7.5k ST holders how to do the cut. Length of having had a ST overall or split across the price bands.

Would they definitely reach 7.5k? I presume they will but don't really know what the situation is in Poland with coronavirus just now. There has been criticism of the fan return apparently. The ultras will obviously be happy to return but to an average fan a mid June return seems quite early.

in some of the stadiums it might not be too much of an issue-of ones ive been to slask Wroclaw, jagiellonia bialystock and lechia Gdansk are all large and far too big for their fanbases.others might have difficult decisions, lks lodz as they only have one stand just now, likes of lech Poznan, legia or wisla Krakow because they've got quite high attendances.and hows it going to be policed?you just know the ultras wont socially distance

Austrian league leader LASK Linz has been deducted six points for conducting team training sessions in violation of pandemic restrictions, The points deduction means LASK slipped from first place to second, three points behind defending champion Salzburg. There are 10 rounds left to play in the Austrian Bundesliga, which is due to resume on June 2

Just bullshit.

its harsh but they shouldn't have done it,any teams doing this and getting away with it would have an advantage over teams following guidelines

Canadian Premier League teams are back in training, they are proposing a one city tournament format, each of the 8 teams playing each other once then a knockout stage. The owner of the awful named Atletico Ottawa is proposing they play somewhere on Prince Edward Island as Covid-19 hasn't affected the province, I'd imagine PEI would tell them to bolt.

Interestingly Atletico Ottawa were formed after the previous Ottawa club, Ottawa Fury were pretty much bullied out of the USL Championship by CONCACAF and United States Soccer Federation and told to play in their own country's league. Toronto FC, Montreal and Vancouver all seem to be accepted though. Seems a bit like Wrexham and Merthyr Town being kicked out of the English leagues but Cardiff and Swansea being allowed to stay.

Benfica are the gift that keeps on giving this week,2 up away at portimoense and managed to shite the bed and only draw 2-2.equaliser was a beaut.porto can go in front if they win at home to maritime,on just now on freesports

Watched Benfica in both games back from the break, they look very ordinary. Porto haven’t looked much better in all fairness. Can we blame it on the break? I will say though that the Portimoense equaliser last night was a cracker
