Dindeleux
How can Giggs be assistant at Man Utd and own a club who play in the same competition? Surely if they draw each other in the 3rd round there would be as huge conflict of interests?
HibeeJibee
It wouldn't be allowed in Scotland, certainly... BSC Glasgow manager had to step-down when he became chairman or whatever of Airdrie.

port-ton
The thing i found amazing last night was Salford's fitness and work ethic. Even in the last 10 minutes they were chasing down every ball. Thw two centrebacks won absolutely everything aswell. Very enjoyable watch.
Ivo den Bieman
notable half times: Wigan, winners 2.5 years ago, are being horsed 3-0 at Gigg Lane, by Bury; Northampton are 2-1 up at Coventry; Barnet 2-0 up on hapless Blackpool; "Derek Adams' Plymouth Argyle" look likely to be concentrating on their title challenge after today, 2-0 down at home to Carlisle. No sign of a Jim Gannon tantrum yet. Northwich holding Borehamwood 1-1.
Ivo den Bieman
confirmed shocks today: Altrincham, 19th in the Conference, beat League One Barnsley 1-0 on their own midden; wins for Forest Green at Wimbledon, and Barnet beat Blackpool (how much of a "shock" this is is open to debate) conference Eastleigh beat League One bottom side Crewe at Gresty Road; Northampton, struggling and facing a winding up order, beat Coventry 2-1; Carlisle send wee Deek home to think again, holding on for a 2-0 win; Stourbridge of the Northern Premier beat Dover, two divisions above them in the Conference, in Kent- terrific result Jim Gannon lives to fight another day as Northwich hang on for a 1-1 draw Altrincham, Forest Green and Stourbridge are the biggest shocks for me. Bully Wee Villa
Don't think Forest Green was that much of a shock, they've money behind them and only one league below Wimbledon. Pleased Stour got through, like the local sides to do well with certain exceptions.

Forest Green have been making a push for promotion over the past 5 years as well, was only a matter of time until they started getting these results. Ivo den Bieman
For the past few seasons, they've been a moneybags Gretna-style outfit who haven't delivered. We'll see if they can hold in to their top spot in the league. Good result today though.
Bully Wee Villa
Still don't like them though as they banned meat at their stadium. Weirdos.
gy diamond
Forrest Green won't get promoted this year, they had a good start and that's about it Grimsby and Cheltenham will finish a good few points above them. 5-1 win for the Mariners today against St Albans without ever really getting out of 1st gear. Would love a derby against Scunthorpe or a game away at one of the Yorkshire sides in round 2.
mizfit
Still don't like them though as they banned meat at their stadium. Weirdos. Kick them out of the league. In fact, ban the b*****ds from football. Fucking weirdos.
