Froggy
Without knowing who petershill had missing I do know they had a handful of subs. Central would also have had players missing. For most of the game the central totally dominated and made a top junior side look "amateur" John and kirk should be proud of the boys. Every one of them was outstanding. Not one below par performance from them, especially considering it's a team just put together. Well done
Gman91184
How did big Ross Gallagher play ? Pollok left sided player
Froggy
Came on as a sub. Every player taking part done really well mate. Nobody looked out of their depth (for central anyway) lol
pollokprince
Did ok when he came on he just kept it simple the boy cusack has a handful with his movement i stood nxt to the petershill sidd they must hve been close to full team
The journeyman
Thought the central team where miles ahead of petershill last night, every player did well, especially cusack and mccauley, they couldnt deal with them, shouldve won by more than they did but still a great result
Always learning
stood with pollok prince and can cnfirm Petershill were close to full strength coming from one of their own coaching staff. IMO,the select team were miles in front of the juniors in all departments, well done to John and Kirk , a real good performance with whole squad playing their part
Froggy
It was an incredible performance if you take into consideration it's only there 2nd game together. Petershill will be training together several times a week and they were all over the place at times. It's clear to see why these boys were included in the squad. Everyone of them looked very comfortable against top class opposition

That way you can give all the boys hand jobs instead of drooling over them on here.
Username1234
to be fair to froggy he was a doubter of the initial selection of some of the boys so it's probably just a pleasant surprise for him to see the squad playing so well. Well done to kirk and john!
owenzy
So why are amateur select teams beating top junior sides? Surely if you are a top junior player and got offered to go pro or semi pro you would take it, so why do the best amateur players knock back top junior teams? It seems a natural progression, i know guys go on about playing with your mates but top juniors can fetch £150-200pw so why would you not do it. After last nights game it looked like the junior team were the amateurs, the difference was that obvious. The select were faster, sharper and more powerful and could have been 7 or 8 and petershill are a top outfit.

Sometimes in this case the side in this case the Central have something to prove and looked as though they proved it by wanting to win the game more than the opposition did. There are loads of decent amateur players who could make the step up into the juniors or the lowland league for that matter. Some maybe want to stay and play with their mates, some maybe don't want the extra commitment you have to make with extra training sessions and the more travelling that comes with the next step up. Actually you might find there are one or two floating around could maybe easily make the step up into League Two of SPFL.
Froggy
Nonsense. Were you their? Petershill were right up for the game. They just got over ran. The select guys are used to playing in big games never mind a friendly pal
Crazy Feet
People are reading far to much into this. It's all about mentality. The select side have everything to play for, manager to impress, to put one up on a good junior team. For the junior side it's a friendly game in preparation for the competitive game on the Saturday. Your talking about polar opposites in terms of how the game is viewed. Agreed. Still a very good result for the Central though regardless. I know Petershill played a lot of boys who haven't been starting regular recently but I would still have expected the junior side to win. Next game against Irvine Meadow will be interesting to see if the amateurs can produce a performance of a similar standard.
