uptheslope
Occasionally clubs enter and put a team together specially for the Youth Cup ties, using eligible first-team players and locals they register specially. From time to time there have even been boys clubs masquerading lock, stock and barrel as senior clubs U20s teams. Selkirk reached R4 last season guaranteeing a direct R3 place this year, so if nothing else it would have been poor form not to enter. Did the young Selkirk team play the Scottish Cup game today? Rab B Nesbit
Thanks Rab, a pretty painful experience for the poor guys. Not nice for them at all Given they don't have a team in the u20s league I'm wondering who they fielded?
HibeeJibee
Normally in such circumstances clubs get a boys team to masquerade, or sign players for the day. Unsure which in this case.

HibeeJibee
I don't think full YC records exist anywhere, but I'd be very surprised if such a score has been exceeded before, certainly.
colinmc
One of first team players played in this game and he said it was boys that stayed in borders. Some couldn't even kick a ball !! One lad said if the ball goes out do we kick it back in hahahahaha
