No games yesterday as no football is played on 5 May in France due to the Furiani stadium disaster in 1992.

I missed a belter tonight as Lyon came from 2-0 down to beat Lille 4-3.

Watched Brest on Saturday night but ended up a 0-0 draw but not in an awful way.

Quite the turnaround from Lyon. I read some articles earlier in the season and they seemed to be a club in crisis and heading to Ligue 2 after just 1 win from their opening 14 games. Now they are just outside the European spots.

Yeah, amazing turn around. Changed manager and going from an empty stadium the fans are back onside with Lacazette back amongst the goals.

A typically exciting end to the season with the main winners being Brest finishing third and going straight into the Champions League. Lille were their rivals but blew a 2-1 lead to end up in the CL qualifiers.

Lens drew 2-2 allowing Lyon to go from bottom to European participation in 24/25 by winning their final game.

At the bottom, Metz finish in the relegation playoff despite a 2-0 loss and Lorient winning 5-0. The clubs finished on same GD so it went to h2h. Both won away but Metz won 3-2 rather than a  2-1 win for Lorient. So goes to away goals scored and Metz have a chance to stay up despite the table below.

The most notable of the sides they now find themselves alongside are 2018 Coupe de France runners up Les Herbiers & Bourges Foot 18 who are owned by Sadio Mané.
