It was discussed at a secret meeting at the start of last season. Apparently Kilbirnie were the favoured option to win the cup but their close links with a certain money man blew that out the window. The club have patched it up until the end of the season but that day was health & safety gone mad . If you had watched the Europa league match in to the following week it was played in far worse conditionsDon't know who you are but I spoke to folk who were astounded it was off including 1 notable Beith supporter . Our groundsman was still infuriated about the decision during that midweek . That tells it all for me And I'm not casting aspirations I'm saying blatatantly that the Beith manager was in the referees ear citing health & safety issues about the park.
