To be fair they perhaps offered him something. I know they did actually offer John Rankin a deal but it wasn't the kinda figure he was looking for. Wouldn't matter if we offered him something he wouldn't have signed, rankin can easily get a championship club no chance he'll be signing with us this season. A proper Airdrie fan and an inspiration in his courageous fight against cancer. Didn't know the man very well, spoke to him a few times at games, in the boozer and on the bus to a few games years ago, a charming man with some cracking stories of years gone by.
