It might seem a good idea to spend heavily on the playing side but that's yet another season when the abject state of their surface has left them with an exhausting backlog for the run in which has scuppered their hopes. Talbot invested in their surface a few years ago because they knew it was holding them back and you can see the success it's helped bring them.
