DeeTillEhDeh
Blackfords Freedom of Movement amendment defeated. Only gaining support of 64 MPs. 310 against (tories) and many abstaining like the completely spineless cowards that they are.Too fucking scared of the minority of gammon racists.
Dons_1988
Surely a lot of these movements are more political statements than the SNP genuinely believing it will pass.

Detournement
An election potentially meaning no Umunna, Soubry, Ken Clarke and especially Dominic fucking Grieve on the telly again for a while is a soothing thought.

ICTJohnboy
Well done Jeremy Corbyn. You've single handedly created the worst, and most far right Government in my lifetime. You should hang your head in shame.
Inanimate Carbon Rod
Eh?I think hes suggesting that Corbyn being useless has led to the tories pushing ever further right.I kinda get the point but dont think Corbyn being useless has done that, he is useless though.
Detournement
If they don't go for an election, confidence vote or referendum then what kind of extension will the EU agree to?
welshbairn
I don't understand this at all. The EU know that the WA has no chance of passing without renegotiating it again with a Government who don't want to, and don't want to be seen as interfering with a member's internal politics, so will grant an extension tomorrow morning till the end of January. So Monday's vote will be on a GE with No Deal ruled out. Don't see haw the opposition parties could show their faces again if they refuse. The most useless, ineffectual, incompetent, indecisive, complete and utter waste of space has directly led to the far right wing of the Govt being able to do whatever the hell they like. Isn't he supposed to lead his party and provide some kind of joined up opposition? The only thing I could not accuse Corbyn of is that of being an anti semite. Johnson has played a big part in that. An effective leader might have called for a VONC in him by this time, and helped bring about his demise.
welshbairn
You'd think the rational thing for the Tories would have been to move to the centre to nick the soft Blairites. The left right thing has been disrupted by populism though.
Detournement
Have the Tories really moved to the right? They seem the same as ever on policy to me. The only thing that changed was Cameron calling the referendum which created new possibilities for them.
