RedRob72
Yet you said you're a member of the PLU community. Your words. Is that exactly what I said Pep? Not that I have friends & family who would consider themselves as part of the PUL community? I grew up with it, I would never deny that. Again I have no interest in religion whatsoever.
RedRob72
Hey I'd be happy enough with that. But will the good people of Wakefield , the Mail, the Express etc accept it? Let's face it, whatever happens with the artificial border will be decided by the good people of England, as usual. No I'll trust WM, Stormont and The Dáil Éireann to secure an agreement with the EU. I'm afraid the good people of Wakefield wouldn't be able to draw you the border using tracing paper!! ETA Sorry that was a cheap dig!

[emoji6]sure it makes for some interesting reading though Pep, I've done the War walks in France and Belgium some years ago, the Irish connections both North & South are very well documented and terribly sad. I've said before that I enjoy some of your posts, but I wish you'd pack it in with the bigot chat, it isn't me.
Peppino Impastato
It is though, you don't cross a sea to march in celebration of protestant supremacy annually cause you like the music do you? Nobody goes to make kkk rally cause they're really into white hoods.

Nobody goes to make kkk rally cause they're really into white hoods. I'm over four or five times a year Pep, not just July, next time end of Jan to get the train down to Dublin with pals to fly to Vegas for the Frampton Vs Santa Cruz fight! I love Northern Ireland, it's a fantastic place, Belfast City 2nd only to Glasgow. Yep I love the bands, always have done. I don't march, and have never claimed that I do. Yes the 12th is a great family celebration, we've done it as long as I can remember. Either side of that, it's a good opportunity to fish the Bann or head up the Antrim coast for a round of Golf. It's not what you'd expect, that's clear, get your blinkers off mate. I know I'm probably a lot older than you, but I have never ever heard anyone use the term Protestant Supremacy, you're wrong pal.

Todders
Aye there's never ever been anything sensitive or contentious about the UK/Irish border with regards to consociational issues eh!? The current agreement works perfectly well, my point is that Brexit shouldn't be used as a lever by opportunist nationalists to create apprehension. Typical unionist living in the past.

Too late - your UK Nationalist brethren have already done that with the Euroref itself.

The borders of the past conjures up the idea of British soldiers, checkpoints, queues of cars a mile long.” “We don’t want borders of any description – you can now drive from central Belfast to central Dublin in an hour and a half. You won’t be stopped anywhere. You won’t see a red light and you won’t be stopped by a police officer unless you are speeding.” So, he's saying that the government have promised there will be no "British soldiers, checkpoints, queues of cars a mile long" but they haven't made it clear that there will be no borders, right? Explain how that's "a lever by opportunist nationalists to create apprehension".
