NorthernLights
Just away to kick off on BBC Alba, the last 32 Champions League clash between Hibs and Bayern Munich. Should be a difficult night for Hibs as the bookies have them down at 22/1 to win tonight.

HibeeJibee
0-3 HT. Hopelessly one-sided but Hibs Ladies have made the odd foray into the Bayern half. Tbh, this was always going to be about keeping it respectable. Hibs Ladies haven't played in Europe for a decade, and only qualified because the coefficient has been rising courtesy Glasgow City's WCL results and because UEFA decided to give 4 more countries a runners-up slot from this season. Bayern Munich are a step above, and were always going to win. Glasgow City remains the real "class act"... won the league 9 seasons in a row (currently 5pt clear with 3 games left) and only lost a couple of league games in that time; won the last 5 Womens Scottish Cups; won the last 4 Womens League Cups until lost 2-1 to Hibs this season. They'll have a fairly tough task against the Swedish runners-up tomorrow, but more winnable that Hibs v Bayern. Looking at the Main Stand there must be at least 2,000 people there which will make it the best-attended womens club game ever, AFAICS... Womens Scottish Cup finals usually get 500-600 - although 1,359 last season - and Glasgow City's highest-ever was 1,785 in WCL QF v Paris.

The gap has really narrowed Hibee and City definitely aren't the side they were. They are still very good though leading the league by 5 points although they did lose the League Cup final to Hibs. The two meet again in the Scottish Cup final in a few weeks.
