Clyde 17/18 Season thred

Recommended Posts

No matter what league we are in it is going to be a busy close season for our new manager/s.

With only 4 players signed up for next year and a massive clear out of the dross playing for us this season there is plenty to be getting on with.Surely Easton will sign up for another year to prove his fitness to potential suitor?.Will a fit Linton fancy another year in the second division?  I can't imagine him being interested in the Lowland League.

It is obvious that we have been weak at goalkeeper and centre half-but where are there replacements?

The next few weeks are going to be a bit of a roller coaster ride but I am confident we'll still be about next season to keep this Forum interesting.

Forget about that. Can you believe we managed to win the last 3 games of the season to win the league on goal difference? Also, that League Cup win :wub:

Get yourself back to Broadwood next season, Toma. Spread the word through Parkhead. Hell, give Torbett's door a chap. Danny Lennon's red revolution starts this summer.

Next season: Obviously expectation builds over the course of the close season. We become excited by the "championship quality" of players signed. Certainties for the league.

Come November we start adjusting our ambitions, certainties for playoffs.

Come February, we start looking down at possible relegation rivals.

Come March, we're all still wondering what Higgins has to do to be dropped.

Repeat, Ad nauseam for all time.

  • 2 weeks later...

With only 4 players signed for next season we are in for some changes during the close season. However surely Dylan Easton is due us another season? We paid for his operation and rehabilitation so it would be good to see our commitment returned by him.
